The men, in their late 20s, why naked and appeared to be hallucinating. Police say they set their house on fire. Investigators think the man was shot by an officer after he stuck a rifle in another officers stomach. Investigators also made a gruesome discovery on the property. They located a blood trail leading to the backyard of the home where three animals were found to have been decapitated t appears as though there was some sort of ritualistic act which was taking place. In fact we are seeing delays through the Altamont Pass westbound 580. 26 minutes now as you work your way towards the dublin interchange. Highway 4 at one points was completely shut down westbound because of flooding. Thats wrapped up but you can see the damage is done. Its slow west bound 4 in antioch. Bright spot now no delays to report westbound 237 between 880 and 101. So far, so good there. And 101 northbound at mckee looks like traffic is starting to get slow through there. But still looking okay through the south bay no major delays on 280 or guadalupe parkway. Thats a look at traffic. And, of course, we have to get all this weather in, lawrence. All that rain very slick out on the roads right now. Of course, headed up in the Sierra Nevada yes skiers you have to love this. We have plenty of snow in the high country. You can see this line thats rolling on through. A very strong series of storms from salinas to novato so its going to be picking up. Heavy at times and then breaking off into showers. Heading out this morning a treacherous commute early on. You have that rain, wind, debris on the roads. And also some very slick roads so that first significant rainfall you have a lot of oils that get lifted off the pavement. By the afternoon it should be showers and temperatures staying cool only in the 60s for highs today and looks like were not done. This trough is going to camp out along the west coast. Police say 45yearold Radcliffe Haughton opened fire at a day spa in the milwaukee suburb of brookfield yesterday. Three people were killed. Four others were wounded. The gunman ran from the area. Brookfields police chief says the search for haughton ended a short time later. The one suspect we believe is responsible for the shootings is deceased. We believe it to be a self inflicted gunshot wound. We are not seeking any additional suspects. Police say haughtons wife works at the salon and recently got a restraining order against her husband. Its not known if she is among the victims yet. Former south dakota senator George Mcgovern who ran for president in 1972 died. That cold front making its way on through. Its going to make for a wet and dangerous commute early on this morning. Some of that rain now is spreading into parts of the south bay along the peninsula. We are seeing good rainfall as you make your way into woodside, portola valley. The rain is coming down there. In the north bay a more significant line right here bringing some strong amounts of rain beginning to dump in parts of north bay spreading to the south throughout the morning. We are going to taper off showers later on but right now, it looks like a very treacherous commute if you are heading around the bay area. Could see upwards of an inch of rain in some of the wettest parts of the north bay. Speaking of the north bay, we have one of our reporters out there and looks like she is getting very wet and more rain to come. Reporter very wet. You werent kidding when you said that the storm wasnt done where we are because its definitely come back. The rain coming down a lot harder than just 30 minutes ago. Very windy. And this is what drivers can expect all over the bay area. Localized flooding, big puddles like this one as drivers head on to highway 101 from industrial road here in corte madera. Now, the california Highway Patrol in marin county is asking drivers to drive below the posted speed limit because of flooding. The rain started last night and will continue throughout the day. This is the first significant storm of the season. Its a good time for drivers to brush up on safety tips. First, take it slow especially when driving around curves. Keep mild pressure on brake pedals to avoid skidding or hydroplaning. If you do skid, ease off on the gas and steer in the direction you want to go. Have good tire tread. If you have been waiting to replace worn tires, now is the time. Winter is around the corner and you want to keep it safe when youre out there. The first significant storm system pounding the bay area. Doppler radar picking up on the moisture spreading through further south north of san jose. We have some pretty good storms making their way in that direction toward east palo alto. Heavier amounts of of rainfall in the north bay. It continues and will sweep to the south and break up a bit. Around the bay area right now youre starting out with rainfall out the door, winds especially along the coastline as the front passes through. And then by the afternoon, it looks like it turns more towards showers. Well see some sunny breaks in between and occasional showers rolling on by so with that in mind we have the trough locked in along the west coast thats going to stick around so once this front moves by we are not done with the rain yet. We have a series of systems rolling through the middle of the week so on and off wet through then. Cold front now lingering through the north bay will slide through. Then about 9 00 or so, we are seeing it sag down to the Santa Cruz Mountains through the san jose area turning to showers in the north bay. Of course we have the giants game tonight. A chance we could see some scattered showers roll on through the game so i dont think it will ruin the game but you may see occasional showers heading there so might want to bring the umbrella to the game going there. Still were planning on temperatures to stay cool. Plan on highs only in the 60s out there. Even at the coast about 60 degrees and blustery winds there as well this morning. As we head through the next couple of days, showers on and off looks like going to keep things wet through wednesday, thursday and friday. We should dry out. Thank you very much, lawrence. It is a bit troublesome out roads. You saw live shots there from sierra and again traveling up and around there grab your opinion chains for 80 and 50. Look at this live traffic cam. Look at the vehicles stuck on the side of the road. So give yourself some extra time and dont forget your chains. Westbound 80, 580 and 24 are hot spots in the east bay right now. You can see traffic really stacked up through the Altamont Pass. 42 minutes now westbound 508 as you work your way towards 680. Thats very slow and go. Also, we are getting reports of an accident eastbound 80 near richmond. It is blocking lanes so give yourself some extra time. Westbound 80 just a crawl as you work your way away from richmond towards the bay bridge toll plaza. Westbound 237 stacking up as well working between 880 and 101. Westbound 4 slow both directions, delays through there lots of slick surfaces out there. And 880 northbound not bad. Southbound brake lights towards hayward. The 3rd quarter itself probably not all that great for yahoo. Frankly most analysts not focused on that. Instead, they want to know what meyer has to say about her vision for yahoo. The companys been struggling for years. What is she going to do that others havent been able to do in turning yahoo around . Obviously there are pressures on Global Advertising when it comes to the internet. We saw that with google last week so more pressure for yahoo there. As far as apple is concerned they are expected to unveil the ipad mini at an event tomorrow. A lot of anticipation on that. Somewhere between 299 and 349 probably. Wall street coming off an absolute beatdown on friday off earnings worries. Dow down more than 200. Market off to a mixed start this morning. Dow giving up 33. Nasdaq up 4. S p right now down 2. Remember that fireball that streaked across the bay area last week . Now astronomers have found a chunk of the meteor embedded in a north bay backyard. A homeowner in novato found a golf ballsized piece of that meteor in her backyard. This is only the 20th meteorite found with a known trajectory helping scientists determine the place of its origin. This is a little souvenir of our past, a little photo album thats told us what happens when the solar system was born. This is what drives are trying to head on the 101 northbound from Industrial Way in corte madera. Then back a little further you can see a caltrans crew. They have been out here all morning trying to clear those lanes of traffic that are affected trying to keep things moving. Were also dealing with a lot of wind and cooler temperatures. It is about 52 degrees in corte madera this morning. And because this is the first storm of the season, this is a good time to remind drivers of how to get through the rain safely. First you want to go much slower than usual. Keep space between you and the car in front of you. Also, keep mild pressure on the brake pad to avoid skidding or hydroplaning. The temperatures will stay cool. Plan on highs only in the 60s by the afternoon. But were not done with the rain. Theres more rain to come. On tuesday, more showers. San mateo bridge looking better. We are seeing some slightly slow and go conditions towards the peninsula but still okay. Again all lanes are open due to the construction over the weekend. Elsewhere live look at conditions through the south bay. Those headlights are northbound 101 near mckee. Traffic is really slow and go through that area so give yourself some extra time. Jumping over to our maps right now we have an accident northbound 101 at ralston. It is blocking lanes with injuries so traffic is going to back up around 101 through the peninsula so give yourself some extra time. Thats the phrase of the day. There are advantages to commuting at 3 30 a. M. No traffic. Big night tonight of course. Giants take game 6 last night beating the cards 61. Game 7 tonight around 5 00. Win or go home tonight.
