big screen presentation of the game at the civic center in downtown san francisco. the whole city is in the spirit. a big fireworks show last night at golden gate park. the city's landmark buildings are lit up in orange. the starting pitcher tonight, tim lincecum. here's his take on pre-game superstition. >> try to wear this cap as much as possible. i have had it since my rookie years so any chance i get a chance to wear it, i go with it. i switched up my gloves here and there, and i may be just cleaning my spikes before the game. that may be my only superstition. >> reporter: here are the ticket prices if you are still looking for a ticket for today's game. they range wildly on the website stubhub from $529 to $15,500 for the premium seats. on craigslist find tickets from around $215 to $1,200. and on ebay from $250 to $2,600. now, the giants have not won the world series since 1954, when it guy, willie mays, was playing. but they have never won since they have been in san francisco. so this could be the year we're bringing it home. >> i hope so. have you seen some fans around there already? >> reporter: good morning. behind us the san jose fire department is working on cleaning up from this fire this morning. this is at a business called wendy's party favors and balloons. we are going to bring in captain chuck rangel with the san jose fire department. >> at 3713 this morning the fire got a special report of a building on fire at 3:13. within five minutes engine aid arrived on scene reporting an active fire with smoke and fire showing from the front, sides on the east end of third street and the 12000 block of east santa clara. they called the second alarm because the fire intensity was so big, initially, with those units on scene we were able to go inside do a quick interior fire track being aggressive with that keeping the fire damage to one unit. it did not spread to the other units. this is a strip mall so a lot of times the fire does get in the attic. one of the challenges we have with these early-morning fires they get a good head start, there is no one to call 911 to call fire in. that was the case with this fire also. we contained the fire to about 30% of the interior of the building and some smoke damage throughout. >> reporter: any injuries to your personnel? it's chilly. >> i do. if it's cold now it will be cold later on tonight. >> later on tonight around 59 for the opening of the game. but this morning, i want to let you know we have a frost advisory in effect for our north bay mountains and valleys. it will be chilly. 39 in santa rosa. we are looking at 37 in napa a cold one so i have the turtle network on as the day starts to run and things warm up a bit it might be too many but for standing outside talking to you guys for 5 to 7:00 a.m., it's just right. forecast this morning out the door we have again that frost advisory in effect for inland locations. temperatures this morning will range from the lower 30s in the coldest spots. as we move close to earth bay still chilly. the 40s expected and more 40- degree temperatures also in the forecast along the coastline. as we move into the afternoon, there will be some sunshine. plenty of sunshine expected. mostly sunny conditions will be in the forecast. that is going to be well inland. temperatures topping off near 70 degrees. you will see temperatures in the upper 70s around the bay and temperatures in the lower 60s at the coast. so the coldest morning so far this season first official frost advisory of the season and a lot of times people mention indian summer. if we were to have a warmup after our official frost, nas when you technically have an indian summer. people send a lot. e-mails about that so i thought i would clarify. that's your weather. back to you. >> thank you. stay warm. it is 5:37. a developing story in san jose. right now several crews working on a fire at a strip mall. let's go to mark sayre at 26th and santa clara streets. mark, good morning. >> good morning, sydnie. this is a two-alarm fire broke out around 3:00 a.m. here on east santa clara street. we are just to the west of the 101 felipe. let's show you video that we took when we arrived here this morning. this is wendy's party favors and balloons. fire crews called here by 911 a second alarm called. when they arrived, smoke and flames were showing. it took crews an hour to knock it down. this is in a strip mall with 6 adjoining businesses including a printing company which had chemicals and what not that fire crews were concerned about. fire officials say preventing the spread of the fire is one of the top concerns. >> they have active fire so they went in with a quick interior tack, very aggressive. they went in the topside and cut a hole to keep the fire to that area. they kept it confined not to the neighboring unit. >> reporter: that certainly is good news. 30% of the interior party supply store destroyed in the fire. no injuries to any fire crews or personnel here in san jose this morning. >> thank you, mark sayre in san jose. today officials at napa state hospital are meeting to discuss ways to improve safety. just days after an employee was murdered, allegedly by a emergencily ill patient. last night, hundreds of people gathered to remember psychiatric technician donna gross. her body was found saturday outside the hospital after she failed to return from a dinner break. police say she had been strangled. a patient has been charged with the murder now. some workers say that suspect had a violent past but was allowed to roam for up to two hours every day. a hail of gunfire in berkeley left one man dead, another wounded. it happened near the corner of sacramento and russell streets yesterday morning. as many as 60 shots were fired. police think both men were targeted. the victims were in their late 30s or early 40s. so far no arrests. are you tired of all the nasty campaign ads? they have a great chance. they have great pitchers. the freak as everyone knows with tim lincecum who is going to be pitching tonight and he will be going against cliff lee of the texas rangers so that's going to be a huge, huge, pitchle duel and that's what happens in the playoffs. the pitchers, the team with the best pitchers gets it. these teams have great pitchers. it's just whose offense shows up first. you need runs to score but this is going to be a great awesome series. >> thank you for joining me, gary. he had beards is the thing for halloween. >> are we on?
