Thats on the bay bridge just past Treasure Island. As you can see, speeds drop below 10 Miles Per Hour as you make your way across the span. Now, the backup continues to stretch into the maze. Right now just to go from the maze into downtown San Francisco over an hour. 75 minutes. Thats what our travel times are showing. And the backup continues to stretch along the eastshore freeway to el cerrito at this point. As you can see, traffic on the Richmond San Rafael bridge starting to see a lot of yellow, a lot of slowdowns, everyone using that as an alternate to get away from the bay bridge toll plaza. You do not want to be stuck in that backup. But take a look at the toll plaza over at the Richmond San Rafael bridge. You can see a backup we typically dont see delays at this hour over at the toll plaza. Morning commute is over but dealing with slowdowns. Now a coalition of labor groups is pushing for a ballot measure for 2018 saying they polled about 900 likely voters asking the question shall an ordinance be adopted requiring that large and medium sized residential or commercial projects that receive a subsidy or other incentive pay market rate wages and hire local workers . Today caltrans is considering a plan to convert the hov lanes along the peninsula into an express toll lane. Solo drivers would be able to pay a fee to ride in the fast lane. The plan would involve a stretch of roadway from highway 101 in Santa Clara County north through the i380 interchange. About 200,000 drivers travel that area every day.
