The waves are so powerful, so intense, they hit the breakers and come up and over the railing. Initially it broke the window and then water came through and then more water again. Thats a huge wave. Reporter moonraker Restaurants Bank wet hall no stripped of carpet as dehumidifiers run to get out excess water. Glass went everywhere and the room filled up with water quickly. Reporter one of the Restaurant Owners say they found the first floor flooded. I dont know if it was from the wind or a rock. So we went through our surveillance camera and pulled the footage back up and obviously it was something more serious than that. Reporter the Surveillance Video captured this, a rogue wave that came up over the breakers and straight into and through one of the restaurants first floor windows. I have seen how big the waves get out here. They crash over the seawall. Thats concerning. It has to clear 30 or 40 feet of concrete. Reporter the damage will be between 10 to 15,000. Hour by hour, these waves just continue to become more powerful. We know that the window at the moonraker restaurant is now boarded up. The good news though, those powerful waves hit at 5 15 a. M. A twomile stretch of highway 37 is shut down because of all the water. One car has been stuck there since sunday. Officials hope to have the highway back open by saturday. This morning in fremont, teams of divers will restart their search for a missing teenager. Authorities say she lost control of her car on highway 84 saturday morning and drove into the Alameda Creek. The chp will close niles canyon to recover a car that belongs to a missing 18yearold woman from tracy, she crossed the yellow, hit a car and went into the fastmoving waters. That car was spotted about 100 yards from the accident. The family of the missing teenager played a rouge role in her search. Authorities shut down niles canyon road so loved ones could find her. You see the determination on their faces to find their daughter. Its very moving. And that determination and love helped find the car today. Absolutely. Literally throwing a rock out there and hitting what appeared to be a car and, um, that allowed to us focus our attention. Reporter authorities then launched a drone to get a closer look and it showed two tires sticking out of the creek. The woman is presumed to be in the car. But crews cant reach it until the water level is lower. The water level coming down quite a bit may enable us to put more people in the water to get this done. If the water is still moving high and theres a lot of risk involved, it may entail, like, kelly talked about getting winches and getting the car secured. Reporter officials have not formally identified the victim but family and friends are praying for jenkins on social media. The Sheriffs Office says she was on the way from tracy to a family home in menlo park when she lost control of the car. And avoid southbound 13 altogether. Police in berkeley are trying to piece together a bizarre discovery. They found two bodies inside an Apartment Building but arent sure how they died. Reporter its been a tourist attraction at Seacliff State Beach for generations and on icon of the Santa Cruz County coast but now storms have turned the old cement ship into a shipwreck.
