Its what the Merced County sheriff said made Faisal Mohammad stab four people during a morning rampage on campus. He had gotten kicked out of a study group and was upset with one of the students. And apparently, he took his anger to the extreme level. Reporter the 18yearold uc merced freshman wrote down names of students he targeted and other violent plans. He talks about going into the classroom and actually taking the students and handcuffing them with the zipties. He goes on to say he is going to ambush a Police Officer and try and get the gun. Reporter Authorities Say there is no evidence to suggest that Faisal Mohammads stabbing spree was tied to religion on terrorism although he made several references to allah in his writings. The sheriff said the Computer Science and engineering major had pretty elaborate ideas. Among the things they found in his backpack, bags of Petroleum Jelly. It looks like his intention for the Petroleum Jelly was to cut a hole in one of the bags and squirt the Petroleum Jelly on the floor as a slip and slide. Reporter back at wilcox high in santa clara, students are trying to make sense of it all. Holding back stuff and maybe mohammad was one of those people. Reporter the fbi confirmed it served a search warrant at his santa clara home. Agents went through his dorm room, his computer and social media accounts but came up with very little. Students are going back to class today at Berkeley High school after 2,000 walked out yesterday to protest a racist incident on campus. A nine grader confessed to making the threats after being questioned. In a message on the School Computer in the library the student used the n word twice and threatened a public lynching in september while mentioning the ku klux klan. We feel comfortable after talking to the student that there isnt a potential of, you know, of harm or any kind of attack on december 9. That message sparked school wide outrage prompting protests from Berkeley High to cal. Students are glad the administration found the responsible person. But some say there is a heft of racist rhetoric at Berkeley High that needs to be addressed. A bay area Restaurant Owner defends a Facebook Rant she intended to keep private. In the post she calls toddlers satanic. As cate caugiran reports, the owner is facing boycotts. Reporter a private Facebook Post its unacceptable. If you have children and go out to dinner, i think you should be able to take them. Reporter ended up on a group by the owner. This may shock you but choosing to have children means you cant go out to eat for roughly three years. Please accept your fate. Speaking of traffic, some major traffic disruptions are expected as the next phase of the central subway project starts in San Francisco. You can see from some of the roadblocks behind me that construction is already begun here in the area of 4th and king and you can expect delays in this area, this construction will last for the next eight days. This is all part of the central subway system. Take a look at this map. This is going to be a major junction, a connection between the central subway and the rest of the muni system. They have been digging for that central subway for the past several months around union square. So the closure starting tonight eastbound king street between fifth and third and several blocks of 4th street shut down starting at 10 p. M. Workers will be installing track that will connect existing rail lines to the subway and this is going to impact several muni lines, buses and trains. They are going to have alternates in place. But bottom line is you can expect plenty of delays in this area. The closure ends a week from tomorrow. So again we are talking 8 days here that central subway system is set to open in 2019. The toddler was eject from the car after impact. It happened just before noon yesterday on power avenue north of highway 4. Pittsburg police tell us right before this crash, the same car was involved in a hitandrun but the woman behind the wheel kept going speeding down the street. So the saturn came down flying first and when it came down it seemed like in this area it kind of lost control and when the car lost control, it actually flipped over and thats when you saw the baby shootout of the car. It will take about 20,000 pounds of explosives take that old pier base down in the bay and all the bubbles you see here will play an important role. Thats going to be a protective layer of bubbles to mammals and fish so that the impact they would have without it would be far greater. Those bubbles are going to reduce the impact by 80 . The pier will go out with a bang next saturday on the 14th. The entire implosion should take about 6 seconds. It all goes according to plan. Cell phone video shows an employee fighting with a customer at the drivethrough window. Witnesses say the customer attacked the worker pulling him through the drivethrough window by his tie. And you can see that worker trying to punch his way free. Police later arrested the customer and charged him with assault. The case of the e. Coli linked to an outbreak of chipotle restaurants in the Pacific Northwest is on the rise. Health officials in washington and oregon say 40 people are sick and a dozen of them have been hospitalized. No one died. More than 40 chipotle restaurants remain closed as officials try to pinpoint the official source of that outbreak. A san jose restaurant at the center of a shigella outbreak will open this morning. Health officials determined that mariscos san juan number 3 restaurant doesnt pose a risk to health. They through out all food and sanitized the facility. Nearly 200 people were sick after eating there last month. The Health Department doesnt know the source of the outbreak. Bay area Company Making it easier for people to stay gluten free. Sixth sensor labs in San Francisco has created a portable tool to detect gluten in foods. A small sample of food goes into a test capsule and two minutes later the sensor determines if it meets the fdas standards for glutenfree labeling it by using that happy face there. Sad face means the food has gluten. I feel like im taking back meal time and for others i think that its just going to provide that extra layer of security and confidence. The Authorities Say that the quiet young man who graduated here from Wilcox High School in santa clara was nothing like the monster who went on that stabbing rampage. Now, they conducted an autopsy and when they did, they found inside his pocket a manifesto along with zipties, duct tape and night vision scope inside a backpack. He had a list of people he wanted to harm and also had planned on tying them up and reading a scripted monologue aloud. He also wrote he was going to try to ambush a Police Officer and get the gun. The whole plan unraveled when the victims started fighting back. Whats more in that backpack investigators found two clear bags full of Petroleum Jelly. It looks like his intention for the Petroleum Jelly was to cut a hole in one of the bags and squirt the Petroleum Jelly on the floor as a kind of a slip and slide. Reporter now, back here at Wilcox High School the principal remembered faisal as a good student who likes science but didnt get socially involved with school activities.
