He allegedly also blogged about violence including the recent on air murders of two journalists in virginia. Mercers father was visibly distraught when questioned by reporters. May he bring comfort to their families. Reporter authorities have searched mercers apartment complex as well as the College Campus and parking lot as they tried to determine a motive. He had mental problems and he was he had anger problems and he took medicines for them. Investigators are now focusing in on the suspects online activity. On myspace, apparently belonging to mercer, has a photo of him holding a gun. You see it there. There are other photos of the Irish Republican Army with descriptions glorifying their movement. The lake county sheriff is trying to figure out exactly how many homes have been burglarized since the valley fire. Right now, they know of 14 homes ransacked. Eight of the breakins were in the town of Hidden Valley lake. Six people have been arrested in connection with the looting but the Sheriffs Office says those numbers could climb. A deadly wildfire in calaveras and amador counties is now 100 contained. The butte fire burned more than 70,000 acres and destroyed 475 homes since it began back on september 9. The governor jerry brown signed legislation to require School Districts to teach the yes means yes policy in place at state colleges and universities. An east bay teen accused of killing his family could face a judge today. Officials say last month, Nolan Buchanan shot his father, his fathers fiancee and his 8year old halfbrother in their vacation cabin in El Dorado County and burned it down. The 16yearold originally told investigators he was nowhere near the cabin. But officers impounded a pickup truck they believe nolan was driving and now say his story didnt add up. Inside the f150 was evidence contrary to the 16 yearolds earlier statements. Authorities say nolan will be charged as an adult. The El Dorado County District Attorney expects him to be arraigned today or monday. Some more trouble at Santa Clara County main jail. Sources say it came to light during the sheriffs investigation of the incustody death of inmate Michael Tyree last month, who was allegedly beaten to death by three correctional deputies.
