Searchers have found some debris but so far, they have been unable to find anyone on board. Fbi agent and police readed vietnamese cafes last night on a crackdown on illegal gambling. Authorities simultaneously served search warrants at 11 locations on the eastside of the city. They carted off up to 100 video gambling machines. The fbi was tightlipped about the operation. Were serving search warrants and arrest warrants in the area. Gambling at the cafes has made them hotbeds of prosecution, drugs and violence, according to police, and disputes over money may have led to at least one homicide. Dozens were questioned but no one was arrested. The city of berkeley will force some Liquor Stores to install security cameras. Last night the city Council Passed an ordinance unanimously requiring stores in several high crime areas to have surveillance cameras. Mayor bates says the latest numbers show crime is already down sharply. But more cameras will make things even better. It will make a big difference. This end we can identify people and if bee then we can identify people and if we see them, we can connect them to the video. The law goes into effect next month. Some people in berkeley would like to see it go further and cover all Liquor Stores in the city. The Santa Clara ValleyWater District is scaling back its plans for a rate increase. The plan was to raise rates by 31 . But last night district officials reduced the proposed increase to 19 . A final decision is expected in may. The district says the rate hike will offset the money its losing due to people conserving water during the drought. East bay m. U. D. Is also looking to increase water rates. The later this monday the board will consider another 8 increase as well as a drought surcharge of 8 to 25 . Our reserves are down for water and money. And going into the summer, another dry summer, we do need to ask our customers to help out. The district announced yesterday another 27 inches of rain is needed for this to become an average season. So it looks like we just beat any kind of delay coming out of the san josecupertino area. Heres a live look at the san mateo bridge. They also cleared the overnight roadwork westbound and eastbound 92 so youre looking pretty good between the east bay and the peninsula. And if you are heading to the bay bridge, there still may be some overnight roadwork blocking those right lanes. It is scheduled to clear by 5 00. Sometimes they wrap it up a little early. And with the rain, it is a little slick on the span, as well. But its really eastbound where were seeing some delay because of caltrans crews hard at work eastbound 80 between the 4th street exit all the way to the span itself. They have various lanes blocked. Prime Healthcare Services is backing out of a plan to buy a los altos hillsbased nonprofit that runs six hospitals including four in the bay area. The proposed sale of daughters of charity has prompted rallies both for and against. Prime healthcare says it backed out because of tough restrictions on the sale by state attorney general kamala harris. They include running the hospitals as is at least for 10 years. Santa clara county has offered to buy two of the hospitals. A Sonoma County hospital that closed because of money problems is set to reopen again. Hillary clinton spoke publicly for the first time about her use of a private email account while she was secretary of state. There was a fatal accident investigation that had shut down three lanes though for hours since just after 1 30. I think is when that accident was reported. Right now though 65 Miles Per Hour so heading out of cupertino and heading into los altos. The south bay commute looks okay. Heres a live look at a wet slick san mateo bridge, as well. This is the commute direction westbound 92 still really light out of hayward. And overnight they had roadwork on westbound and eastbound 92. All of that is cleared. So now were no longer seeing a delay in either direction actually i should say we didnt see a delay even when caltrans was out there. Cars were weaving around those lanes that were blocked.
