They put up levees and stuff and pump out stations. The extra high tides are sending attar onto the pavement near the highway 1 exit from highway 101. The parking lot there has flooded as well as the bike path in that ware. The waves are impressive from were seeing down south. Isnt that something . A lot of that is not necessarily the high tides. Its because of the storms that have ticked up the surf but we will have big high tides in the bay area today. Even bigger next month too. Not so much that the earth and moon and sun align. One person is in Critical Condition after a lightning bolt struck outside a crowded football stadium in tampa. It happened just after the bucs and packers game let out yesterday afternoon. Firefighters say it hit a spot in the parking lot where fans were standing. And witnesses say the victims immediately fell to the ground. Seven people were hurt. They were all on the ground and people put raincoats and jackets over them. So they didnt go into shock. Paramedics say it doesnt appear anyone was directly struck by lightning. This is on your approach to the waldo tunnel and you can see all of that traffic there again. The two right lanes are going to be shut down until at least 10 00 this morning. This massive rock slide and downed power pole is going to cause big delays and our sensors in the area are picking traffic down to 35 miles per hour. And really theres no easy alternative to getting around this. Right now it would be worth your while to just sit in some of the traffic its not that bad right now. But later this morning, you may want to consider taking the Richmond Bridge over to the bay bridge as your alternate. Right now 101 looking good heading across the Golden Gate Bridge. And highway 4 do keep in mind the chp has just shut down all lanes of eastbound highway 4 at balfour road in brentwood. Thats where weve been watching this fatal accident that happened about an hour ago. So they have shut down all lanes for an accident investigation. You can see the westbound direction of highway 4 is also beginning to slow down. Leaving antioch hitting into pittsburg. The bay bridge toll plaza. The metering lights are still off but traffic is delayed at the pay gates and you can see some of the backups westbound and now backed up from the foot of the mcarthur maze. I wouldnt be surprised if they switched only the metering lights on the metering lights early. The fog at the same sex marriage here but traffic is san mateo bridge but traffic is still moving well. The only wrinkle in this is a little bit of the storm thats coming through far Northern California could brush the north bay maybe even down to the central baby like Christmas Eve but aside from that it doesnt look bad at all this week.
