First, actually i thought maybe this is one of those shows, those what would you do . And someone is going to come out and say, so, what were you about to do with this money . Reporter what she did was contact concord pd to tell them she found some money. At the time, she didnt know how much. Is it heavy . It was. But surprisingly not as heavy but i guess because its all 100 bills. Reporter nearby neighbors tried to guess how much was left in the middle of the street. 5,000 . Reporter how about 120,000 . What . 120,000 . reporter in hundreds. Wow. Reporter and she turned it in. Honest. Reporter so who carries that much cash . Concord investigators located the person. He had actually reported the money missing. It was his familys life savings. Returned. You want to remain anonymous . I do. Reporter why is that . Because its not about me. Both directions on the bay bridge in fact. You shouldnt see a delay approaching the pay gates coming into San Francisco. If you are traveling on the eastshore freeway it should be about 18 minutes from the carquinez bridge to the maze. But they do have various lanes blocked westbound 80 from highway 4 in hercules down to 580. Caltrans initially told us they had four lanes closed in that area until 5 00. So not too much longer. Lets get a check of the golden gate bridge. Marin county commute looking okay. The only thing we spotted northbound coming into petaluma there was some roadwork from kastania to the Petaluma River bridge that should be wrapping up by 6 00 but in the meantime, sausalito to San Francisco, everything looks great across the span. Lanes change crews should be out there shortly and 880, you know, they picked up the roadwork early in san leandro. So now everything is fine in oakland and all the way out to the macarthur maze. A san jose state fraternity is planning fundraisers now for a member of their frat that was killed in a hitandrun. The suspect is another student accused of driving drunk. The victim 23yearold chee lamb died of his injuries yesterday. He was walking across south 10th street along busy Fraternity Row early sunday morning when he was struck. Officers say the driver, 22 yearold solomon freed, took off but then crashed into a parked car nearby. Police arrested him at his apartment later. The victim was a member of the delta sigma pi fraternity. He was a Computer Engineering major and would have graduated this spring. He is a person who was always happy and smiling. Made people feel comfortable. The hardest part about this is that knowing that he is gone, you know . But no matter what, he is part of us. He is hes touched our hearts. His friends are planning a weeks worth of fundraisers to help his family. New details, the man accused of killing two sheriffs deputies near sacramento on friday had prior runins with police. He was using a fake name when he was involved in a misdemeanor hitandrun in 2003. But his fingerprints were not entered into a database that would flag other arrests or deportation. The suspect was from mexico and here illegally. He was deported twice once for selling drugs in 1997 and he had been living in utah until friday. His real name, luis bracamante. Maria medina reports. I saw the gun like maybe [ indiscernible ] he was right in front of me got blood on top and everything. I was like everybody that knows me calling me and saying, thank god youre alive. Reporter the landscaper went back to work later that day. My employee says we have to keep going because we dont get paid we dont work. Reporter although his truck and tool trailer are still considered evidence. Without that truck, i have to call my brother to use his truck, now he have to use somebody else truck. Reporter he says suspect Marcelo Marquez actually helped detach his tool trailer before taking off with his truck. When i was trying to remove the trailer it was too heavy. I asked him help me remove the trailer, and he helped drop it down so the fingerprints was on the trailer. So i end up with no truck no trail error. Reporter he credits god with helping spare his life. God needs me more down here than up there right now, i think. The suspect and his wife face murder, attempted murder and carjacking charges. 4 38 now. A 14yearold High School Student in Washington State texted his victims just moments before he opened fire inside his school. Investigators say Jaylen Fryberg asked his victims to meet him for lunch that day and shot them at the table. Those who knew the shooter are beginning to piece together what happened. As we head through the day today, should be a very nice day but watch what happens as we head in through wednesday. Maybe pick up a few high clouds and patchy fog. And then thursday the clouds start to roll in and then late thursday night early friday morning, here comes that chance of rain. Temperatures around the bay area should work out very nicely. Countercommute there is roadwork in lanes eastbound 580 this morning north greenville to north flynn. They have the two right lanes blocked. They often do. So again, westbound in the commute direction we are just beginning to see now the delays on 205 out of tracy up to about the 580 split. Out the door, heres a live look at the san mateo bridge. Traffic is very light this morning on westbound and eastbound 92. It should be about 13 minutes out of hayward to the peninsula. Eastbound traffic similar story. Well see a few headlights heading this way to the east bay. In the meantime across the golden gate bridge, everything is freeflowing both directions. They should be getting four southbound lanes open here any minute. Havent seen lanes change crews yet but that doesnt mean they havent passed. They may have just missed them. No delay out of sausalito into San Francisco. Bay bridge similar story. Overnight we had the usual overnight roadwork. It was westbound and eastbound. It shouldnt slow you down much but you still may see the caltrans crews out there until about 5 00 so they should be wrapping up shortly within the next 10 minutes. Overall no delay across all the pay gates in the cash and fastrak lanes. And westbound 237 sorry, this is an erroneous drive time. It should be only about 6 minutes between milpitas and sunnyvale all across those westbound lanes. Everything still looks good. Mass transit is also fine. No delays on mass transit.
