Reporter good morning, frank and michelle. Wall street has been on a skid over the past three sessions but today corporate earnings for the 3rd quarter really kick into gear. Several from the Financial Sector including San Francisco based wells fargo which did top on expectations. Its revenue is 3. 5 higher to 21. 2 billion. Couple of key takeaways. Wells fargo is the nations largest mortgage lenders. It originated 48 billion of loans in the 3rd quarter 1 billion more than the prior quarter so thats good news for the housing market. The negative side, low Interest Rates continue to hamper the bank and other Financial Institutions as the rate fell by nine basis points. Wells fargo shares down 1. 5 in early trade. Jpmorgan chase down 2 . It didnt meet expectations. Citigroup shares met expectations and shares heading higher. A lot of worries about the Global Economy and Airline Stocks hit hard yesterday on the continuing ebola scare. Those airlines are recovering this morning. So is the market in the early going.
