Yes. They used those words . Yes. Reporter how did they determine who they would take . Whoever i dont know. They just grabbed misty and the bank teller had the the manager had her keys. And another one. They needed somebody else. But they didnt want no man. They wanted women. Reporter they wanted women . Yes. Reporter the Armed Robbers left the bank with a gun pointed at each womans head. So we all were crying and praying inside hoping that no harm would come to them. But they did. Reporter a dark day for the Stockton Community and for martinez, a day that will forever connect her to the mother and wife who did not want her daughter to see her in danger. Arizona governor jan brewer is ordering a review of her states execution process after it took a condemned inmate almost two hours to die. More now from cbs news david begnaud. Reporter the execution of arizona inmate Joseph Rudolph wood by lethal injection took almost two hours. Witnesses say during most of the time, they could see and hear wood breathing and gasping for air. He closed his eyes he went to sleep. Then he started gasping and he did. He gasped for more than an hour and a half. Reporter wood was sentenced to death for killing his girlfriend debbie and her father gene in 1989. I dont believe he was suffering. It sounded to me as though he was snoring. Reporter the victims family says the only unjust delay was how long it took the state to carry out the execution. Everybody is worried about him suffering. Who really suffer was my dad and sister when they were killed. Reporter this is the first time its taken far longer than usual to succumb to a lethal injection. In january an inmate gasped for 26 minutes before he died and in april, oklahoma prison officials halted the execution of inmate Clayton Lockett because he writhed in pain and dislodged the needle. He then died of a heart attack. Arizonas corrections director says execution protocols were followed and that wood was comatose until he died. David begnaud for cbs news. A suspected arsonist due back in court in san jose this afternoon. William Patrick Brennan charged with setting about a dozen fires in san jose in january. Today he will enter a plea. San Francisco Mayor ed lee has signed a twoyear budget plan. The balanced budget will make a large investment in affordable living for low income and working class families. It is 4 42 now. The parents of a san lorenzo man are speaking publicly now about their sons death in a freak accident on a beach near half moon bay. Adam pye died tuesday at Francis Beach after a tunnel he was digging in the sand collapsed on top of him. Emergency workers friends and other beachgoers dug for more than 30 minutes to get him out. He died. The parents got the news in a phone call from one of the paramedics. I tried to get him to breathe. I tried to get him to talk to me. They already worked on him for 40 minutes. I took his little contact out of his eye. His eyes were partly open. He was spending a few days with friends before starting a new job in Southern California. The drought is having a staggering Economic Impact on california with billions of dollars believed to be lost. So as the ridge builds in out of the desert, it brings very hot weather especially into the valleys. 90s into the central valley, almost 100 in fresno. Even more alarming, melanoma death rates in the county are higher than the rest of the state. Doctors said they knew that skin cancer rates here was high they just didnt know how high.
