Of nine people arrested during last nights protest, Oakland Police say a majority did not have oakland addresses. And perhaps no way of knowing that youth radio exists to tell the stories of young people. Youth radio does so much work for the community. You would figure people in the Community Fighting for justice would know. Reporter despite the vandalism, summer classes started here today. The people who work here cleaned up the mess themselves. A masked man hit him in the face with a hammer at the restaurant flora in downtown oakland. 32yearold drew cribley was part of a group trying to protect oaklands businesses when the protestors moved in. In l. A. , protestors attacked kcbs Television Reporter dave bryan and his foreign while they were doing a live interview. Cameras were rolling as the two men who attacked them ran away. Dave and his photographer have minor injuries. Juror b37 said George Zimmerman had no choice but to shoot Trayvon Martin during their struggle telling Anderson Cooper zimmermans biggest mistake was getting out of the truck in the first place. Im 101 that he was that he should have done what he did except for the things that he did before. You mean he shouldnt have gotten out of the car, he shouldnt have, uhm, pursued Trayvon Martin but in the final analysis, in the final struggle when the end came to the end he was justified. The search for daphne webb has been going on for a week. Tonight a candlelight vigil is planned at the location where the 21monthold was reported missing. Kpix 5 reporter linda yee says the girls family gathered last night but one very important person was not there. Reporter they prayed and then daphnes family asked the public to help find her. These past few days have been the Worst Nightmare of any parent and for me as baby daphnes grandfather. Reporter her mother was there but grandfather kevin davis said no one in the family would be answering questions. Noticeably absent the childs father john webb who told Police Someone kidnapped daphne after he left her in a car last wednesday while they shopped but the family expressed their doubt about this asking for anyone who has seen the father with daphne in the past two weeks to come forward. You have to know when the last time was seen was. Reporter it implies that you suspect the father of having something to do with her disappearance. It implies we need to find people who have seen the child over the course of the last several weeks since the 27th. Thats what it means. You can read what you want into it, linda. A state committee is recommending a tougher penalty against pg e for the deadly 2010 pipeline explosion in san bruno. The amount of the penalty is still 2. 25 billion.
