Reporter besides the mummified body he says workers also found toxic mold, 300 bottles of urine and always kinds of infestations. The smell was so bad firefighter had to wear oxygen masks to go inside this weekend. The supervisor says the clean up could cost tens of thousands of dollars. For my purposes protecting the neighbors around this home, the Public Health issues of spiders and rats and other issues to me are really important as the neighbors are worried. Reporter crews found the body saturday in the house. Police think its the 90yearold homeowner. Police say the womans 65yearold daughter Carolyn Reagan recently told someone there was a body in the house who then reported it to police. I felt really sorry for carolyn. She is a very nice person. Reporter this neighbor of 20 years says carolyn was a hoarder. This time she could not let go of her mother. I saw her three days ago and i said, is your mother still with us . And she said yes. Delusional. She was still with her. You see these shows on tv and hear about hoarding but you never have any idea it was going on around the corner from you. Temperaturewise still some reports in the 40s. For the most part we are in the 50s and few low 60s. So we will have the rain develop in the north bay later on tonight. The heaviest rain will be in the overnight hours. But thats going to leave us with a lot of ponding on the roadways for the morning commute. Then we will see some scattered showers on tuesday. The chance of an isolated thunderstorm containing some very small hail. We will see some snow in the local mountains down to 4,000 feet. So we are talking about mount st. Helene a could see up to 6 inches of snow. Mount hamilton with a couple of inches as well. Okay. So here you have this area of low pressure. Very impressive. Its a classic wintertime storm during the spring months. And what its going to do is just skirt down the california coast in a southerly direction and it does so, its going to open up, bring us the rainfall. Lets walk you through it. And then it slices across the metropolitan area right around 4 00 in the morning. That could trigger that towards morgan hill. We have a pool of cold air mass. That will dump the snow in the local mountains. As far as totals are concerned we are looking at approaching threequarters of inch of rain in the santa rosa area as well as portions of the peninsula and through the delta. Reporter he was in high school when we met him. Patrick armstrong is a lawyer in new york now. And this year he was the keynote speaker for the students rising above gala. I come from a family where generations struggled and had challenges. Specifically speaking, i was supposed to be homeless. I was supposed to be poor. Reporter patrick had decided he was going to change that trajectory when we profiled him in 2003. A senior on scholarship at bellerman college prep in san jose. School was a prime focus. Something that was a big deal. In order to get out of this type of lifestyle, get out of living this way for our children, we knew that working hard in school to get somewhere in life would definitely be the way to go. I look at this young man, i scratch my head. I am amazed. Reporter his family lived in the barbershop where his parents worked for a time because they had no place it stay. Later they lived in a shelter. Patrick helped his little sister as a dad moved in and out of their lives and his mom worked two jobs. That is not all. Oh no, that is is not all. Reporter he was the first in his family to go to college. Thats when students rising above stepped in. They were there for me every step of the way. They were there when i didnt want them to be sometimes, too. No matter what happens, they would reach out and accepted me little emails or shootnia text message and say, hey patrick, where you at . Reporter he graduated from cal and later from nyu law school. Now he is an attorney with the Justice Center working to make the criminal Justice System more fair. You should definitely be held accountable. The thing is you want to make sure the punishment are appropriate and you want to make sure if people are caught up in the system because of Substance Abuse issues, they have treatment to get back on their feet and you keep them together. Reporter something that will tell you a lot about patrick. While at cal he was a walk on for the Basketball Team but he was cut three years in a row. He didnt give up though. And in his senior year he finally got to play. If there is anything that sra has taught me is that we are not bound by our past.
