Anne makovec joins from us martinez where a multistate search for suspects came to a head. Anne. Reporter we just learned the fbi is now involved in this investigation. This is where the car chase ended and a foot chase began. You can see where these suspects hit the fence, damaging that stop light as they went. Three people were arrested after the cadillac they were driving crashed on arthur road around 3 a. M. Officers used spike strips to pop the tires on southbound 680. Its the end of a police chase that started 30 miles away in vacaville. Speeds reached over 100 miles per hour. Officers say this stemmed from an Armed Robbery in colorado. We have multiple agencies that are involved throughout various jurisdictions. So there might be more than meets the eye here. Reporter as three people were detained near the vehicle, another man got away. Officers locked down the neighborhood for about two hours as they searched. They did a search of my backyard. They had their guns all pulled out. Im like freaking out. I have a 9yearold son at home and he was all excited. Reporter and finally they caught the last suspect less than a mile from the crash site hiding just steps from tanya smiths backyard. They had him on the side of my yard here and he was sitting on the bench in handcuffs. Im glad they got him and its over. Reporter so the exact charges have not been announced. Southwest airlines cancelled nine flights out of oakland today because of an aircraft inspection issue. Its part of a larger problem nationally involving more than 100 southwest 737s. 128 planes were grounded yesterday after the airline missed inspections on hydraulic systems that control the rudder if the main systems fail. Passengers at Oakland International airport are concerned. Its a total disregard. If they are supposed to be inspected these planes want them inspected before we board. The faa says southwest can resume flying the planes as long as it makes the inspections within five days. The company says in a statement, once identified, southwest immediately and voluntarily removed the affected aircraft from service initiated maintenance checks and developed an action plan to complete overdue checks. The department confirmed around 10 00 this morning the marine patrol searchandrescue found the body of threeweekold justice rees. The baby was discovered on ridge cut slough which is east of county road 102 not far from where his mother samantha green was found alive last night. The Sheriffs Department says justice was found in brush right off the slough. According to the sheriffs office, tools will be needed to cut a path in the brush just to get to justice. Were also learning that its too early in the investigation to know if there was any foul play according to the captain from the Sheriffs Department. Meanwhile, family had been at the site of the search all morning talking about baby justice. His grandfather spoke to us said that the baby never had a chance and that he turned three weeks old today.
