Rice apologized with his fiance by his side and the couple married a month later. And developing news in the south bay where a search continues for a Mountain Lion that bravely attacked a 6year old boy. And it is extremely unusual Authorities Say but not taking any chances with public safety. Kpix kit doe reports, crews have been searching around the clock for the cat. Reporter the game wardens say the Mountain Lions typically return to the scene of an attack and thats why the search crews stayed out there overnight and they hit the trails at sunrise. All of the trails had been closed since the attack happened on sunday afternoon. And bright red warning signs block each entrance. A group of about four dogs their handlers and a few game wardens are out there following scent trails and paw tracks. The attack happened sunday at 1 00 p. M. The 6yearold boy was just 10 feet in front of his parents when the cougar pounced and dragged him into the bushes. The family rushed to him and chased the cat away making loud noises. The boy was seriously injured on his head and neck. Wardens say this kind of behavior is much more aggressive than normal. When the attack was over, the dad was thankfully able to drive the lion off of the son. They picked up the son and carried him back to the car, and we ultimately found tracks and scent evidence that suggest that the lion followed them back to the car. Reporter as for the boy, he has been upgraded to Good Condition and his parents are Still Deciding whether or not to talk to the media right now. Michelle . How did the search go yesterday . Reporter the weather was less than ideal. It was a little warm. And that affects the situation in a couple of ways. The dogs dont work as well in the heat because they get overheated. And also, it is easier to detect the scent when the air is cooler. Thats why the crews got started at sunrise. If they find a Mountain Lion in this area, they will shoot to kill. New video this noon, a driver hit a bicyclist in San Francisco this morning before colliding with a muni bus and several other cars in the richmond district. It happened just after 8 00 a. M. , near balboa street and 8th avenue. The driver of the minivan crashed into the bicyclist, and then into a 31 balboa bus and two parked cars. Two people were taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. In a separate muni accident, in San Francisco, a man was hit by the side of a t3 train just after 5 00 a. And you want to make sure theyre firm and crisp in your hands. When you bring your scallions home, put them in a plastic bag and store them in the refrigerator. Scallions will have some dirt on them when you bring them home so wash them thoroughly in cold water and i like to do a double bath to make sure theyre nice and clean.
