Im surrounded by these peppers but i want to talk to you about jalapenos. If youre like me, i love spicy food. So lets talk about selection and storage. When you see them in the market or the store make sure they have a nice uniform green from top to bottom. The stem should still be attached. It shouldnt be pulling back. Now, if you see any blemishes or any scars, thats not an indication of age. That means the peppers are even spicier and that you dont want. When you bring jalapenos home store them in a cool dark place like the refrigerator. When it comes to usage, if you want to use them and get the nice spice, if its a little too much, just remove the seeds before you use it. Thats holding a lot of the hotness. Make sure you wash your hands before you use it and a great way to use them is to mash it up with guacamole. Im Stephanie Tantillo with your tip of the day.
