Extremely serious charges michelle and frank. Its a long list of charges in this indictment including two separate cases. Some of the alleged crimes were caught on surveillance cameras. Police chief greg sir has just wrapped up a News Conference where he spoke of the investigation and the charges. Here is what he said. I dont know if it gets any worse than this other than an officer involved serious injury or death. When the public trust is betrayed by the city of San Francisco or any Police Officer. This is not only the betrayal of the Publics Trust but all the men and women of the San FranciscoPolice Department who work hard everyday to keep San Francisco safe. Police chief greg suhr saying it actually breaking his hard. These charges filed. This is Surveillance Video from 2011 showing these Police Officers entering the hotels. They did not show their badges and they did not have consent to go inside these rooms. They are accused of using a master key to get in and then conspiring to threaten and intimidate the residents who live there. The indictment alleging they falsified their police reports. In a separate indictment showing they are dealing drugs. All the current officers have been suspended without pay for now. The the department is continuing to cooperate with the federal investigation of current Police Officers and one former Police Officer who chief suhr says was dismissed from the department for other charges. A cleanup operation continues because of this accident. A tanker truck spilling prompted some evacuations this morning. What is happening now with the cleanup . Reporter frank, we are live here on 11 southbound in the city of morgan hill. You can see these crews are busy using long vacuum hoses to suck up this spilled fuel. They are wearing gas masks because the odor out here is very strong. We are standing downwind so it is blowing in our direction. We are feeling very lightheaded right now. I feel kind of bad for all the homeowners who have to deal with this. We have aerial footage of the spill itself. Anywhere from 1300 to 4,000 gallons of fuel spilled. Most of it went into the nearby ditch. The santa clara Water District did not see it going into a creek. This all happened at 2 00 this morning when the 23yearold driver of a nissan was going 80 miles an hour in the rain and lost control. He slammed into the guardrail. The sports car then crashed into the truck and caused the tanker to overturn and spill its load. 14 homes where evacuated. Typically on these freeways when no one is around, cars drive over the speed limit. They forget when the rain is coming down to reduce their speed. Reporter and the driver who caused the crash, bruno murcado was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol but he will likely be cited for speeding in unsafe conditions and his Insurance Company will clean up the mess here. So the driver who caused this did not suffer injuries but the truck driver went to the hospital with back pain. Live in morgan hill. Thank you very much kit. Well, we survived wave number one of the rain, but wave two is coming. Lawrence kamow has more. That was a pretty good storm system that came through. 40 and 50 miles an hour gusts. High definition Doppler Radar showing you showers early on this morning and becoming more scattered. We are catching a much needed break. Look what is off the coastline. We have another storm system that is just deepening and strengthening as it approaches the coast. That will be moving on later onto night. With the storm system, we are likely to see some stronger winds. Check out this as we head through the night tonight. The winds will be ramping up. And some of the winds sustained along the coastline, 20 to 30 miles an hour. Maybe some 60 miles an hour gusts over the mountain tops with some very gusty winds. There is a sandbag station. This gentleman has a hillside by his home. That is why he is preparing for tomorrow. But a more likely danger than flooding, trees falling. People are trying to get prepared today. Its the sound we are hearing more of all around the bay area today as people prepare for what could be a damaging storm. Big trees, little trees. You get all sorts falling down. Reporter tree Masters Tree Service has been getting caused for service in the north bay this week. Today, they are working on prevention. Owner tab jacobs say a lot of trees could be ripe for a fall. El nino was the last time we had big storms coming through so a lot of trees have not been tested in the last 10 years. We are expecting big failures. Reporter so now is the time to do last minute trimming before it is too late. This all gets saturated and trees uproot with the wind. Reporter atree fell in marin county blocking traffic near marshall. We are going to have extra guys working late tonight to help anyone that needs our help. Any tree can be dangerous until it is proven safe. Reporter now back to the risk of flooding, it is pretty low here in san rafael. The creek is well below flood stage. The California Legislature passed a 687 million plan for immediate drought relief. Governor brown introduced the bill last week. Within the past 30 minutes, some great news. City announced google is offering a 6. 8 million gift of free muni. It is funded by the metropolitan transportation commission. Until june of this year, the gift from google is one of the largest contributions in City Services services in San Francisco history. And news about raising tolls on the golden gate bridge. They are sending a toll hike plan to the board tomorrow. They want to raise the tolls by one dollar on april 7. Another dollar added in inquirements from 2016 to 2018. An air conditioner is being blamed for the smoke filling an airplane. The plane had landed safely at the Oakland Airport and was at the gate when passengers smelled smoke in the cabin 9 00 last night. None of the 79 people aboard was injured. 18 people are homeless after a fire rips through their home. Among them, a cancer survivor. What investigators are learning about the fire coming up next. Seeing that there was fire, she was going the try to put it out but realized it was way too big and growing very quickly. Reporter a total of 18 people had to evacuate their homes including eight children. The motherinlaw, a survivor of Breast Cancer now has to overcome homelessness. The family is asking the community for help. We are asking for help. Donations. Whether it be from go funds, dropping off food. Anything. Reporter evangelisa is not worried. She says the house may be a loss, hurt. Everybody is safe. Nobody has to be in the hospital for inhaling smoke. All the materials we can get back. This storm system really helping to develop and slowly slide toward the bay area deepening the storm system. The computer models are picking up on it. And tonight, about 11 00, you will see the rain picking up. Winds and heavy rainfall as the frontal system moving on through. For the commute tomorrow, yeah, a very wet one early on.
