The company that owns the rig and firefighters used special ropes and pulleys to hoist the platform back over the top. Surrounding streets were shut down as passersby craned their necks. Just amazing, incredible, wow. First i was kind of, like, worried there were people working in there. Reporter so was the facilities manager of another highrise nearby. Its a huge fear. Reporter thats why he says there are normally checks and balance in place. Do an annual inspection on the rig every year and then a previous inspection before anybody is allowed to use the rig or go over the sigh. The governor is warning people to stay away from flooded streets. You have to recognize that this water is filled with debris and sand and it is almost like liquid cement and it can even just a foot and a half of water can knock people over. Late last night, 4,000 People Living along Boulder Creek were sent to higher ground. Reporter but Business Leaders say this bill will hurt minimum wage workers more than helping. The California Restaurant Association predicts state eateries will cut back employee hours and hiring because restaurants wont be able to afford the costs. When you add a 25 increase in labor costs, thats a brutal punch for our industry. Reporter once the governor signs this bill, california will have the highest minimum wage in the country with 10 an hour in 2016. Currently california has the 8th highest. Fire crews expect to have the morgan fire on mount diablo contained today. They revealed the cause to fight it is almost 5 million including equipment and firefighter pay. Target shooting sparked the fire sunday afternoon. More than 3100 acres burned on mount diablo. The wildfire in Shasta County burned more than 200 structures up north and more than 8,000 acres about 300 homes are evacuated because of the clover fire. One man died four others injured.
