The grandmother opened the door for a man last week claiming to be a San Francisco city worker needing to take measurements for a phony earthquake department. After bringing the victim to the backyard they distracted her using this measuring tape to measure between the sheds right here and to measure this fence and refusing to let the victim go back in the house. During that time a second suspect enters the home, will go through the house, and steal any jewelry. Reporter San Francisco police say its happened 6 times in the past couple of weeks. Here are two sketches taken from victims statements. Police say the men pretend to be everything from fencing contractors to earthquakeproof inspectors to pg e personnel. They steal from women in their 70s, 80s, even 90s taking thousands of dollars worth of jewelry. Sentiment tal things. Affordable housing has to be driven by government and thats what were doing here is trying to make not only build or construct more Affordable Housing but also put in some rights to keep housing affordable. We had 100,000 new jobs in Silicon Valley created in the past two years. Yet we had maybe 18,000 new units of housing in the development pipeline. Four people dead after a suspected dui crash in gilroy. The driver was the only one that survived. 23yearold anthony imbernoni was behind the wheel of this black for the mustang on leavesley road last night. Chp says he was speeding when he hit the curb, lost control. Police arrived on scene followed the skidmarks and found the car 50 feet down in a ditch. The 24yearold man, three 18 yearold girls were all killed. Officers found alcohol and drugs inside the car. Just after 4 00 this morning, three suspects rammed the car into the front glass door of bloomingdales in the stanford shopping center. All the money raised from this event goes here. The coastside adult daycare center. Janie james is the executive director. She says proceeds from the dream machines not only paid for their brandnew facility, it brings in at least 10 of their annual budget. That is what keeps us in business every year. Him along with, you know, a few handful of people decided that, you know, they really wanted to have a place for seniors to age in place. But in retirement, he has committed his time to numerous organizations in the community including starting a local boys girls club. I call him one of the icons of Half Moon Bay.
