Historically, before imported water was brought into the counteraction parts of san jose used to be 13 feet higher than they are today. The land tally sinks. It is compacted and drops. This year, the district is cutting the amount of water dont the recharge pond by 75 . Imstead, that water will be diverted to supply municipal water systems.
