It all happened before 10 00 p. M. Last night. Chp says a gray Toyota Tacoma was driving southbound getting off the freeway at winton. Someone in another car started shooting into the truck. Two people in the tacoma were shot and according to chp, their injuries are nonlife threatening. Chp says they dont have a suspect at this time. Judging by the but holes in the bullet holes in the vehicle, it appears they pulled alongside the drivers side of the tacoma, however we dont have witnesses that observed that happen. Reporter chp says bay area freeways have been plagued with gangrelated shootings. Just in the last year and a half 87 freeway shootings, eight people have died, 39 were injured. Many of the shootings are happening on highway 80 between richmond and antioch and it just so happens today Contra Costa County board of supervisor will be discussing freeway shootings and their plans to install freeway cameras and high tech microphones that will hopefully help catch some of the suspects.
