The project will add a 200room hotel and two 75foothigh Office Buildings to the grounds. They will span more than 960,000 square feet. Opponents of the plan say it will make traffic worse and it does nothing to solve the housing shortage. Facebook says the New Buildings will bring more than 6500 jobs. You know, this is a big deal as seniors apply for colleges. We are talking about palo alto and Gun High School and how they calculate their gpas. At first the superintendent of didnt want to the do weighted gpas but last night the board voted to include them on transcripts for seniors. So exactly what is a weighted gpas . It means if you take an ap or honors class you get a bump up in points in your gpa and when students heard the superintendent didnt want to do it they told the board they would lose out on scholarships. I think at the end of the day the amount of stress that this has brought on myself and im assuming will bring on other students that start to discover and unravel the information and when they figure out that they possibly cannot get a scholarship for thousands of dollars, then i feel like that just adds a ton more stress. Reporter so again, late last night the board did vote to include weighted gpas on transcripts for seniors. Also important to note that the superintendent considered not doing these weighted gpas because there was talk that it was more stressful for students and as you remember they have dealt with suicides here in their district. They are warning people into the to approach him. Not to approach him. The u. S. Marshal is quadrupling the award for a man suspected of shooting his pregnant girlfriend in the head. The reward is 10,000. Investigators say that ricardo shot the victim while trying to abduct her from her pacifica home back in april. He was also just added to the northern californias most wanted website list. The victim and her unborn baby survived. An oakland Police Sergeant is punished for pursuing a Murder Investigation into a fellow officer. Sergeant james gantt announced a claim against the city, mayor and other top officials yesterday. Gantt says he was removed from a homicide case and harassed after he began to suspect the victims husband opd officer brendan obrien. Obrien later committed suicide. That suicide exposed a scandal involving officers relationship with a teenaged prostitute. A spokesman for mayor schaaf released a statement saying, we are legally prohibited from disclosing personnel information about any Police Officer and we do not comment on pending litigation. The city council in sebastopol has passed an emergency ordinance to keep rent under control and cap annual increases to 3 . It lasts for 45 but can be extended.
