South bay northbound 101 out of san jose this morning, seeing some delays around tully right around trimble as well also first reports of an accident chp heading out to the scene. South 101 right at brokaw so its the noncommute direction but twocar accident may slow you down in the area. Give yourself 15 minutes. Thats what it will take from north 101, 280 680 to milpitas. Her free city plan would qualify any sf resident enrolled in city college for free tuition or supplemental aid applying to students work halftime in the city. If the measure passes it would increase the transfer tracks for commercial and residential the transfer tax for both commercial and Residential Property sales valued at 5 million and create a new tax bracket for property sales at more than 25 million. And that could bring in as much as 29 million in new revenue for the general fund. The board of supervisors will vote on this measure at 2 p. M. And if passed it will then be on the november ballot. The whereabouts of a vallejo woman are still unknown despite the arrest of four kidnap suspects so today her family is expected to urge the public to help. Her son the day after she was last seen got a text from an unknown number said his mother was being held for ransom of 60,000. Four people are arrested in connection with her abduction. When we got him to the dock and he finally got his breath he was screaming my dad, my brother, my dad, my brother, they are still in the water. The bodies of the father and son were found yesterday. Investigators say the men didnt know how to swim and they werent wearing life jackets. A Blue Ribbon Panel has released a critical report on San Franciscos Police Department. The panel spent a year investigating issues of potential bias within the Police Department. They found the department is in need of Greater Transparency and the agency lacks oversight. The panel made 81 recommendations including the creation of an office of inspectorgeneral. That office would audit the force on a regular basis. The panel also says that the San FranciscoPolice Department should pay more attention to the potential for bias against minorities. The president of the San FranciscoPolice Officers association condemned the panels report. In a statement the Union President called the report divisive at a time when San Francisco sorely needs unity between Police Officers and the community we serve. Later today the Sonoma County board of supervisors will discuss setting new limits on winery events. The couldnt approved hundreds of new wineries and tasting rooms in the last decade and a half. Some people in the area have raised concerns about crowds and traffic during big events like wine tasting, wedding and harvest parties. Thousands of people were at a vigil to honor the five Police Officers who died in the line of duty. The president recognizes that its not just people in dallas who are grieving but people all across the country who are concerned about the violence that too Many Americans have witnessed in the last week or so. Back in dallas, while gunman Micah Johnson was killed during a standoff with cops, investigators are questioning his family because johnson had a stockpile of bomb making equipment in the home he shared with his mother. Protests continued around the country yesterday over the shootings of two black men by police in louisiana and minnesota. One of the largest demonstrations was in chicago where hundreds of people marched through the streets. [ yelling ] this is private property. Caltrans will shut down two of the three westbound lanes between 7 p. M. And 5 a. M. Its to make room for emergency repairs after a gaping hole developed last monday just east of the highrise section. The nightly lane closures are expected to continue through sunday morning. Reports of crashes involving teslas autopilot feature have drawn the attention of the federal government. A third crash happened saturday night in montana. The driver told police that he had activated the autopilot function of his model s. He blames the selfdriving feature for hitting a guardrail at 60 miles an hour. No injuries. In the past two weeks, similar crashes have been reported in pennsylvania and florida. A man died as a result of a crash in florida. Josh brown was killed in may when his teslas autopilot failed to detect a tractor trailer in his path. According to the wall street journal the securities and Exchange Commission is investigating whether tesla broke the law by failing to disclose the deadly crash in a timely way to its invests. The warriors are taking a waitandsee approach after the arrest of Draymond Green. Tmz got this video of the Power Forward being led to a police car in handcuffs early under morning. Green allegedly got in a fight in the bar in the edge of the Michigan State campus in lansing. He is charged with misdemeanor assault. Witnesses say he slapped a man who was taunting him. So you will need a few extra minutes there. But a break past 580 all the way down south into San Francisco. Heres a look at the Richmond San Rafael bridge at the toll plaza. You can see lots of Company Working their way westbound. Westbound 580 still slow. That accident vasco cleared out of lanes over to the right shoulder. No delays connecting on to 680 the dublin interchange. All right. Lets go to the san mateo bridge right now. We have reports of a broken down vehicle near midspan at the flat section. It is blocking at least one lane. Could be debris, as well. So thats adding to a slow ride westbound 92, 880 to 101, 24 minutes. Once you get off the san mateo bridge look out for another wreck west 92 just east of foster city. We are getting word of an accident there, as well. So that will slow you down connecting to 101. Elsewhere, if you head westbound eastshore freeway, coming away from highway 4 accident reported right at hercules. Youre going to see some slow conditions into richmond into berkeley and, of course, toward the bay bridge. Thats where you will find the metering lights on. That accident at the bay bridge now completely cleared but almost 30 minutes from carquinez bridge to the maze. Westbound 580 slow as well towards the bay bridge. And looks like northbound 880 also seeing some theres. Bart is on time though. How about using that for your morning commute . No delays. Right now all trains system wise. In morgan hill someone toyed with the fate of two dozen pigs and it became bloody. It happened at live oak high between saturday night and early sunday morning. Police say that somebody opened all the pigs pens at the schools future farmers of america barn. Once the pigs were out, they started fighting with each other. You can see the consequences were ugly. One of these schools advisers said its natural but certainly not ideal. People dont know that when you let animals like pigs out, they are very territorial and so they are going to try to establish a pecking order. This is all part of her free city plan to qualify any sf resident enrolled in city college for free tuition and supplemental aid and also apply to students working at least halftime in the city. If it passes it will increase the transfer tax for all property sales valued at 5 million or by a quarter percent and create a new tax bracket for property sales valued at more than 25 million that could bring in as much as 29 million in new revenue. They cleared it but a vehicle did hit it.
