Federal authorities are still trying to piece together exactly what happened when two Police Officers killed a man outside a Convenience Store in baton rouge, louisiana. Tuesday morning, officers responded to the store a a 911 report of a man with a gun. Video shows officers pinning alton sterling would the ground with a second officer assisting. After a struggle one of the officers shoots. A second video appears to show an officer removes something from sterlings pocket after he was shot. The owner of the Convenience Store says he witnessed the entire incident. He was really confused. He didnt know what was going on or why they were there, what he asked them before when they started try trying to push him against the car what did i do do wrong . Whats going on . The two officers are on leave the Justice Department is going to conduct a authorize roy impartial investigation. In san jose, a couple works together to run a business worth millions of dollars but that business was illegal marijuana. Kpix 5s maria medina is live in san jose with more. Reporter this was just one of the grow houses. This was a big bess if not one of the biggest in san jose. And this is the couple police say was behind it. You can see them smiling in their mugshots. Now, police say they operated seven grow houses in san jose. Investigators seized hundreds of plants with a street value of more than 5 million. Investigators say they had a really sophisticated cultivation and surveillance system. In fact, they were stealing water and electricity allegedly from their neighbors. Its like a banging on a door very forceful banging, very surprising. I mean, i know that, um, pot is around. Well do followup to see if anybody else was involved with these suspects, as well. Again, a very, very significant arrest, a very, very significant seizure. Reporter and police say, you know, these neighbors had no idea and it was one of the landlords who actually tipped off investigators back in april. You only bog down in the maze this morning coming off the eastshore freeway, a little sluggish in emeryville, sluggish off 580. But overall, even though the metering lights are on its not bad. No accidents or issues. Drive times westbound 580 warren freeway to the maze only 7 minutes. Northbound 880 off the nimitz freeway 238 to the maze thats 16 minutes. Eastshore freeway our only slow spot as you work your way towards the bay bridge this morning. Towards the san mateo bridge though a little bit of a different story. Once you get past 238 that southbound side of 880 you will see delays into hayward heading down not quite to fremont but a little slow into union city. Once you get on the bridge itself traffic is okay out of hayward into foster city. Only 15 minutes to go between 880 and 101. You can skip the roads and use mass transit. Everything is on time. Every, single weather shot i have this morning except the mount vaca cam features low clouds and fog. Its a deep marine layer. We have almost identical conditions to 24 hours ago. This marine layer is roughly 2,000 feet deep. It is causing delays at sfo on some arriving flights up to 54 minutes. Good morning, everyone. The winds have been increasing onshore winds in San Francisco up to 11. 16mileperhour winds at sfo. 10 around the seashore. So the clouds are going to hang tight to the coast all day long with localized drizzle and that drizzle is going to be enhanced every day as we approach the weekend. And by lunch hour today, the clouds still linger around the san mateo coast also only some partial clearing around the rim of the bay. Futurecast clearly illustrates that the marine layer is going to march inland even further overnight tonight with localized drizzle. Satelliteradar suggests that this area of low pressure to the north of us as this slides to the south and comes closer to the bay area, thats when that marine layer is enhanced and i got to tell you its going to cool us down by saturday, as well. Its 6 29. In minnesota a cop shoots and kills a black man sitting in a car but it has gotten National Attention because the victims girlfriend recorded it. The video is graphic. You shot four bullets into him, sir. He was just getting his license and registration. Reynolds says her boyfriend Philando Castile was carrying a licensed handgun when the couple with diamonds daughter sitting in the back seat got pulled over. Diamond says philando was up front about having the gun and only tried to reach for his license and registration when the officer shot him several times. In baton rouge, louisiana this crowd stood outside a Convenience Store late into the night honoring a black man, father of five, killed there by police after some sort of confrontation. 37yearold alton sterling was pinned to the ground by officers and shot to death. The shaken community is now pushing for answers and demonstrators say they wont stop protesting until justice is done. San Francisco Police are pointing to a confrontation yesterday as an example of how to bring situations like this to a peaceful end. Put the gun down, man police say that the man without a shirt had a gun and refused Police Orders to put it down. Officers fired nonlethal beanbag shots with little effect. His family describes him as a man struggling with mental illness. Negotiator with a Crisis Intervention Team talked to him for nearly 4 hours until he gave up. More than 1700 acres have been burned across kern county since a wildfire sparked last week. Squirrel valley homes are reduced to rubble. Now all that stands are chimneys. It looks like the worst may be over. Cal fire estimates that 93 of the flames are contained. The county held a meeting yesterday to spearhead debris removal efforts. And fire crews in emeryville are still trying to figure out what caused this six alarm blaze. This was the scene yesterday. Some neighbors say that they heard illegal fireworks going off. And then it may have landed on top of the building. Chopper 5 was overhead. Flames expanded to nearby townhouses. It was so bad yesterday that firefighters had to deploy their latest tool, drones. The Heat Sensor Technology fed back images to crews on the ground. With those images, firefighters were able to concentrate on hot spots and avoid flames spreading. The technology also keeps ground crews safe by giving them an extra set of eyes. Thats a good use of drones right there to help firefighters out there, right . Because they deployed it themselves, they knew where it was and it didnt hamper firefighting efforts or our chopper 5 high in the sky. I didnt it was i think i was surprised by it because im so used to grassfires and being out covering and reporting on those. But it is busy westbound out of pittsburg this morning. Drive times right around 13 minutes to go between hillcrest and 242. If you are connecting on to 242 down into walnut creek right now traffic is a little slow also. Westbound 580 we are seeing brake lights continue. 205 to the Altamont Pass, thats a 13minute drive time. Pretty heavy conditions there but the good news, it gets a lot better past that area. Look at this live shot heading towards the dublin interchange. Right now were not seeing hardly any delays as you go from the Altamont Pass to 680. Its just east of there where you kind of have to squeeze through. Southbound 680, Benicia Martinez bridge to highway 24 thats a 14minute drive time so sluggish into walnut creek. Northbound 101 out of the south bay we have brake lights here but no accidents. A little slow coming away from capitol expressway as you work your way towards 880 gets a lot better though approaching 237 with no delays towards the peninsula. Traffic light on 280 out of downtown san jose. And no delays on guadalupe parkway. Bay bridge so far, so good as far as your approach goes off 580. Where we are seeing slow conditions is off the eastshore freeway. Metering lights are on but a little slow coming away from the carquinez bridge to the maze. That will take you 35 minutes. Michelle. The suv careened into the house on 32nd avenue in seacliff and burst into flames. Thick smoke poured out of the home as firefighters rushed to douse the flames. The burned car was halfway inside the home on its side. The driver of the suv is the only known fatality. Police pulled a dog to safety. No reports of any other injuries. This morning a warning bell will make you think twice about riding a hoverboard. More than half a million are being recalled because of fire hazards that could lead to injuries. The recall involves hoverboards made between june of 2015 and may of this year by at least 8 manufacturers. That makes it 70 straight weeks that claims have been below 300,000 which is the longest streak going over 40 years now. It certainly would be encouraging for jobs growth which really did weaken in may. Private payroll tracker adp says that private firms added 172,000 jobs in june. That would be a big improvement from may. The Labor Department delivers its report tomorrow and all eyes on wall street will be on that report. Google is getting ready to unveil a couple of new android wear watches possibly under the nexus brand. They would heavily lean on googles new assistant Artificial Intelligence bo it. That was featured during its Developers Conference recently. One would be larger and sportier with more features like gps, also tracking heart rate, the other one smaller, more of a basic version. Elsewhere not too far from there, we have a few brake lights towards the Richmond San Rafael bridge near the toll plaza. So a little slow across the span there. Once you get towards 101, though, things get better connecting over into marin. So improving as you get past those brake lights at the toll plaza. Other than that the rest of our bay area bridges are business as usual. Golden gate bridge no troubles south 101, 580 down into San Francisco. Only a 14minute drive time. So pretty light conditions. No delays on that northbound side. Traffic looks good into marin this morning. Bay bridge you have the metering lights on. They were turned on just after 5 30 this morning and delays are back into the maze. Seeing our approaches slow down a bit especially off that eastshore freeway. Drive times now 37 minutes. So that inched up pretty quickly there. Looks like westbound 580 still doing okay. Northbound 880 probably your best approach to the bay bridge right now. Southbound 880, though, you have brake lights heading into hayward. Stays sluggish down into fremont. And we are starting to see brake lights across the san mateo bridge this morning. 19 minutes now so an extra five minutes you need for your drive time to get across the span between 880 and 101. Partial bay clearing. Then later tonight, the low clouds and marine layer will march inland even further than it did this morning. And currently, its inland about 50 miles.
