A couple of houses will get demolished if the hill doesnt stop moving. Reporter the earth under the home next to ronalds property moved a couple of more inches 4 in total causing this long crack in the home and unfortunately they are not alone. Hairline cracks all over the place in the adjacent properties. Reporter crews found cracks in several backyards and expect the land to keep sliding downhill. So obviously something happened under the ground. We dont know yet. So it has to be investigated and figure out what the cause is. You know, it hasnt moved in 60 years. Altamont pass road had been closed all day. Chp says someone dumped used motor oil and transmission fluid into a nearby creek. They had to close the road to make way for cleanup equipment. The spill is where carroll road intersects with Altamont Pass road. Thats just east of livermore. Definitely an intentional dump. Happens often . More often than we like to see. The oil covered a quarter mile of the creek. We got this update on the creek. The cleanup there is not finished yet. But crews will be back out first thing in the morning to get that done. A massive sinkhole has opened up along the coast of southern oregon. Look at the size. Part of highway 101 in the town of harbor is shut down. One city official is calling it a monster sinkhole. Thats a different weather system. That will be a near miss in the other direction. Its going to slam southern california. Los angeles, orange county, san diego, north to san luis obispo. Heavy rainfall for them as the fastest jet stream winds what you see in red right there just racing into northern mexico and southern california. So one storm today missing us to the north.
