Exhibit. The San Jose Fire Department is investigating an earlymorning apartment fire. Crews responded just after 7 30 this morning on seven trees boulevard just east of monterey road. Investigators say neighbors reported seeing someone throw something into the apartment which may have sparked the fire t gutted a downstairs unit and quickly spread. Trapped by flames and intense heat, two residents were briefly trapped on an upstairs balcony before they were rescued. Opened the door and i see this black smoke. And then the flames, they said it was real high couldnt even walk out. And it was just like, what you know what i mean, i just woke up to it and i was alarmed and i was just, like, i wasnt ready for it. Ten people were displaced by the fire. The official cause is under investigation. San Leandro Police say a 13 yearold girl was targeted by a Central Valley man who is now being called a repeat child predator. Police say 40yearold ian teager posed as a teen to connect with his victim on a social media site. He then drove from patterson to san leandro and took the 13 yearold to a hotel room. Police think he also targeted other teenagers from the bay area and the Central Valley. Were reaching out to the public hoping that all parents watch this hoping parents will talk to their children, specifically teenaged girls between 12 and 16 years old to try to find out if something has happened to them. He is charged with four felony counts of sex with a minor. He faces a judge tomorrow morning. The estimates are that over 6,000 biking and walking trips would be made across a bridge. Thats 6,000 trips that wouldnt be taken through the posey tube. But the coast guard has jurisdiction over the water and they have horizontal and vertical clearance restrictions making it impossible to build a bridge. This is a proposed rendering for the Howard Terminal site. John fisher has visited there. Part of the problem with the Oakland Coliseum is that both the as and raiders want new stadiums. If the as propose a new side at Howard Terminal or lake merritt that would free up the coliseum for a possible football stadium. So you see the domino effect. I think when the nfl meetings happen in january when they will vote to approve the raiders to go to las vegas, if oakland could go in there and say now what, the as are gone, the coliseum site is now available, i think this is going to set a domino effect in motion possibly save both. On tuesday, the familys van got stuck in the mud on a remote road southwest of seattle. The parents and two small kids tried to walk to safety but they had to stop when it got dark. They spent one night in a shelter they made with tree branches before they returned to the van for shelter and today, the family says that it was a makeorbreak day to get out.
