Heres how it all played out. Last wednesday the biker was at ellis and sero. With a green light he drove in to the intersection and a car running a red light slammed in to him. The man was thrown off his bike literally flipping in the air but he managed to land on two feet. He doesnt even fall to the ground. He stands there looking around after the aftermath and walks to the side where everybody comes up to him to ask him if hes okay and you can see that his bike was completely smashed on the other side of the road. He posted the video and this photo to reddit and says his customized daytona bike was completely destroyed. The motorcyclist said his gear is what actually saved him. We plan to bring you his story later on tonight. Veronica de la cruz. Prosecutors say witnesses will help make their case against the stanford swimmer accused of rape. Brock turner faced a judge for the first time today. He sat between his father and lawyer in the courtroom before entering a not guilty plea. He faces five felonies in the alleged race of an unconscious drunk woman. Deputy District Attorney says this case is unique because there were people who say they saw it happen. Luckily for the victim in this case, there were two Good Samaritans at the right place at the right time and more importantly, they did the right thing. Workers at the tesoro refinery in martinez are planning to walk off the job. Phil matier is where negotiations have reportedly broken down. Workers are shutting the refinery down piece by piece. Refineries are claiming that they can continue to operate with all these workers on strike but i suspect after a while theyll start to run in to trouble. In california because we run on such a tight supply demand balance if even one refinery runs in to problems well see a big spike in prices as we saw a few years ago. No hope for saving a tire repair shop after two fires there this morning. The shop at san leandro street is completely charred. The first fire happened just after 2 00 a. M. Three hours later firefighters had to go back when another fire ignited. This time it engulfed the building. No word on what started those fires. It will say steer the rainfall right toward the bay area. The rain will hit that wall in the atmosphere and ride right in to the bay area so the same ridge that gave us no rain for six weeks will give us several inches of rainfall beginning on thursday. As for how much, it will depend on region by region. Well talk about the north bay first, closest to the bullseye on the rain. 3 to 6 inches of rainfall over a fourday period. Its going to rain from thursday through sunday. South bay, inch or two. About an inch and a half to 3 inches of rainfall in San Francisco. Or put it differently, most of the rainfall we did not receive for that completely dry january we will get in four days and we will get by sunday. So the rain begins on thursday afternoon. Two more dry days between now and then. Friday will likely be the stormiest day where it will be wet and windy and rain likely will not leave till sunday.
