Custody. Former officer Sean Harrington walked into a martinez courtroom this morning with his attorney. He face two felony Computer Theft charges. Police say he stole explicit cell phone photos from women arrested for dui. He allegedly forwarded those photos other officers. The women whose photographs were accessed and shared have every right to be upset about that. No question about it. But the extent of the damage is not as great as if an officer would have shared this universally. Harrington resigned and apologized. His lawyer said he pled not guilty today because he is trying to work out a plea deal. Police arrested a giants fan who vandalized a Police Vehicle after the team won the world series. There were a number of incidents that night including damage to 12 different Police Vehicles. Police today announced the arrest of 19yearold ryan london in san francisco. They found him by combing through video of the street celebrations. They are accusing london of doing 10,000 damage to a police squad car. Only on 5, allegations of elections sabotage in the office trusted to count the votes. Now the i. T. Manager who quit right before the polls opened is sharing his side of the story exclusively with our len ramirez. Len . Reporter well, ken, the i. T. Manager mr. Joseph le emerged as a central figure in this election after he abruptly quit on election day morning. Theres been widespread speculation in the public and in the media about the potential impact of his departure especially after some of the voter tracking systems used to track the ballots coming in from the various precincts went down on Election Night. Now, mr. Le is finally going public. I sat down with him this afternoon in this exclusive interview. He said internal personnel conflicts at the registrar of voters and the stress of working 70 hours a week caused him to quit. Basically [ indiscernible ] on that day decision i just blow my top and decided to resign the next day. Reporter do you regret your decision . Um, not really because, you know, that job is rather stressful and im not looking forward working in a stressful place. Reporter now, as for the questions about whether his departure delayed Election Night processes, le says it is true there was a major problem with precinct tracking results that night. Vallejo High School Students were rushed out of class this morning after an explosion on campus. It happened in the photography lab. Kpix 5s anne makovec says the explosion may be linked to the napa earthquake. Reporter from what we understand today was the First Time Since the quake that the gas had been turned on in that building and the two maintenance workers injured may have been trying to light the pilot light at the time of the explosion. We got reports that this building was unoccupied since the earthquake and they were taking measures to reoccupy this building so it could having to do with that work, still under investigation at this time. Reporter the explosion happened at about 8 20 this morning. There was no fire or smoke but a hot flash that burned the workers skin and clothes, bowed interior walls and flipped desks. The damage was isolated to a building that hasnt been used since the napa quake, but the whole school was evacuated immediately. Students gathering in the football field nearby. Parents we spoke with said they werent notified until almost two hours later. I just got even the recorded message like as i was picking up my daughter so i was just concerned and i was like until i know that, you know, everything is cleared and okay, then i would just rather take them out. In vallejo, anne makevoc, kpix 5. San mateo police were quick to arrest a man they say was lurking around a high school in the area. Authorities increased patrols near San Mateo High School after two separate reports of a suspicious person. In each instance, a teenaged girl says an adult asian man asked her to come to his car. Police arrested gary fong after spotting him in the area again this morning. The 36yearold is charged with loitering and child annoyance. In South San Francisco police are looking for a man in his 40s who approached a 2year old girl in costco. He tried to get her to follow him. The childs mother was nearby and he fled when he saw her. Some berkeley parents are tired of smelling marijuana in their neighborhood. They are asking the city to do something about the local pot club. The 40 acres collective operates out of a building on san pablo avenue. Kpix 5s ryan takeo tells us the neighbors may have an ally in the city, which has been trying to shut this place down for years. Ryan . Reporter ken, and the city zoning board now calls the collective a public nuisance. The owner says that what he is doing is legal and the citys out to get him. Now, 40 acres across the street upstairs neighbors complain customers routinely spill into the neighborhood bringing pot and other problems with them. One by one, neighbors of the 40 Acres Medical marijuana growers collective sounded off. They painted a picture of lawlessness as customers walked outside. So its become a party zone. I heard at night that people did have some real problems with the smell of marijuana. Reporter the zoning board eventually declared 40 acres a public nuisance. I was really surprised. I have been there on numerous occasions. Reporter the collective owner Christopher Smith was at the meeting. He believes issues with neighbors can be worked out. He has been at odds with the city for five years and thinks he has been unfairly targeted. The city says he violates city code by having a collective in a commercial space. Thats illegal but smith argues that since i been in operation, they have made laws that really im under fire for now. Reporter the city says that doesnt matter. He still is breaking the law. Time may be running out. The city council is going to decide on those recommendations for the nuisance and the zoning recommendations next month. The owner says he will probably have to appeal. The parents of 49er defensive lineman ray mcdonald are slamming the San Jose Police department in the wake of his Domestic Violence arrest. Mcdonalds parents say police should have never said the alleged victim had visible injuries. They say it was damaging, misleading and led the public to believe that their son was guilty. Mcdonald was cleared this week when prosecutors said there was not enough evidence to bring charges. San jose Police Responded saying, we are very cautious and sensitive about the information we provide the media and the public because we do not want to interfere with an active and ongoing investigation.
