If youre headed to the sat matt bridge from hayward, that will take a quick 12 minutes but the roads are slick so drive slowly and carefully. 238 on the nimitz freeway, 17 minutes. From cartinez along the east shore to the maze will take you 18 minutes and expect a smooth drive into downtown San Francisco. The meetering lights will turn on around 5 30 this morning. As youre trying to get to the city from san rafael, heres a look at the golden gate bridge, it will take about 14 minutes. The Oakland Police department is under fire again. This time some people are upset over the way the department handled the postprotests. Election protests. The bay area chapter is holding a protests on the steps of Oakland City Hall calling out the Oakland Police department for their brutal treatment of protestors following the election. Thousands protested after donald trump was elected. There were bursts of vandalism and fires burning in the street and as many as 30 arrested in one night, this followed hours of peaceful protests. I am undocumented and im very afraid. If trump comes through with his word of deploying all illegal immigrants, this may be my last fight. Police say demonstrators vandalized several businesses and even city hall but the National Lawyers guild claims police harmed and brutally threatened protests. They say xem cal agents were used without warning and one protests had a fractured skull. I hope this helps our commitment to equity and justice and the things oakland have always stood for. The Oakland Police department has been under federal monitoring for 14 years. They want to protect the rights of protestors and hold Police Accountable when they break the rules. A young boy ran over a four year old boy with a car. A 12year old left the party and got behind the wheel but reportedly didnt mean to start driving. Preliminary investigation shows t12year old was in the car charging his cell phone the 12 year old. The car lurched into reverse striking the 4 year old and 13 year old behind the car. The 4 year old boy did not survive. The 13 year old also hit is expected to be okay. Investigators do not expect to charge the boy in the car because it appears to be an accident.
