They say they havent had a pay raise in nearly a decade and that strike really had an impact on court services. We saw judges doing their own paperwork, clerks offices were closed, search and arrest warrants were backlogged. The clerks say they deserve more pay. Im just glad that the court has decided to reach out and say that they are willing to offer something in the second year. All our members are really happy to hear that. Reporter so the court was offering them two 5 raise this is six months but the court worker wanted a third raise. Some of them were working two or three jobs, driving hundreds of miles just to come to work. And they were losing homes. One woman said she lives in her garage. It is one of the biggest busts in contra costa county. Police arrested two dozen men and women. They are reportedly part of the norteno street gang. That membership, that activity, gets its joy, gets its profits, from preying on our community. Authorities think there are about 75 norteno gang members in contra costa county. They have already seen a dip in crime since the arrest. A Murder Investigation is under way after a body was found inside a San Francisco shopping mall. The Police Department got a call yesterday morning that a mans body was in the stairwell of the westfield mall. The stairwell doesnt have any lockable handles on the outside. Its not accessible to the public. You need a keycard to open it. Police arent sure how long the body was there. An autopsy is being done to determine what happened. Another victim a woman says she was playing the game when she noticed she was being followed. She claims two men knocked her to the ground stealing her phone and her purse. Now, speaking with police, they are saying that some of the problems that people are going into neighborhoods they are not familiar with and instead of focusing on their surroundings, they are keeping their head in the game and looking down at their phones.
