Looks like this is an injury accident with a couple of cars involved. Use 980 or 580 as alternates. West 80 to 880 one lane of the connector road is shut down. On the bridge traveling that way traffic is okay at least from emeryville into San Francisco. No delays on the upper deck. Back to you guys. Gay pride events in San Francisco kick into full gear today and theres a lot of emphasis on security this weekend. Anne makovec has more from the newsroom. New this morning, a community that lost over 100 hopes during the valley fire is getting something critical from lake county. Fire victims from Anderson Springs are getting a new septic system. State and local officials announced a 7. 5 million project last night at a town meeting. The valley fire burned 76,000 acres about 1200 homes and residents in Anderson Springs have had sewage problems ever since because their homes are too close to a stream for a conventional legal septic system. This morning, firefighters are trying to contain a fast moving while fire in Central California thats already destroyed at least 80 homes in its path. The fire started yesterday afternoon near lake isabela in kern county about 40 miles northeast of bakersfield. The fire has scorched nearly 4 square miles and about 1,000 homes are under threat. Nine towns in the area have been evacuated. Didnt know it was going to come this way until it hit over the hill and it was so fast. No injuries in the fire. Now at 34 minutes after 5 00 on this friday morning, we have hot problems of our own if i remember correctly we are going to be near 100 by next week. And flirting with 100 this weekend inland towards the delta, discovery bay. But its just prolonged little mini heat wave here. This is how it looks like on our live weathercam. Clear skies in livermore. We have the marine layer pushing inland all the way towards the dublin grade this morning. In addition, west wind 12 Miles Per Hour all associated with that robust marine layer north northwest winds at 5 in san jose. Southwest winds at 17 in fairfield. So we are going to have a variable wind throughout the day, 10 to 20 Miles Per Hour along the coast, still have the beach hazard statement in effect for the entire seashore for strong rip currents and sneaker waves. Upper 60s near 70 moss and montara beaches and pacifica. 60s, 70s around the rim of the bay. 80s around the peninsula. 80s to the north and south, low 90s to the east. The weekend forecast featuring hotter temperatures coming up. That accident westbound 80 connecting over to 880 is clearing out of the road. They have one lane blocked through there so they were suggesting 580, 980 as an alternate. We are still seeing a backup to university on that eastshore freeway commute. Thats westbound 80. But again all lanes are now open west 80 to 880 so things should be easing up as you work your way through there. Its pretty slow at the bay bridge as a result since most of those cars are being held where that backup is. So no major delays once you get on the toll plaza there across the upper deck over into San Francisco on the bay bridge. But again, slow off 80. South 680 andrade, this accident now clearing over to the shoulder. Pretty busy on the southbound side of 680 through the sunol grade. Howard street closed between 4th and 5th. Expect big delays in and around that area near Moscone Center. You have some closures in effect there at least until this afternoon for the president s visit. Also, dont forget bart will be your best bet heading into San Francisco this weekend for the pride celebrations. They will run extra trains and longer trains throughout the weekend same goes for caltrain. Extra Train Service will be in effect. Right now we have no delays for mass transit. Muni metro will have special services. Check the schedule and use mass transit this weekend. Thanks. Police say that people wearing chain necklaces are being targeted by thieves in San Francisco. Most of the recent cases have been in chinatown and the tenderloin areas. Police satisfy think often attack of a woman from behind or distract her by asking a question before committing the crime. Court police, these robberies happened at all times of the day. Earlier this week, two bicyclists were hit and killed in San Francisco just hours apart. Police have arrested one of the drivers.
