A bay area man with multiple warrants out for his arrest has been stopped and let go three times in the past month alone. San francisco officers pulled over Stanislaus Petrov three times in the month of march for speeding and driving with a suspended license. Officers identified him based on the jail identification he was still wearing. Former prosecutor steven clark says the stops without an arrest set a very bad precedent. He should not be getting a free pass just because he may have been a victim of Police Brutality or had his civil rights violated. The times that he was pulled over petrov had at least three open warrants in Santa Clara County. A former stanford swimmer just found guilty of Sexual Assault, the victim an intoxicated woman he met at a frat party. The District Attorney was using this case as a platform to talk about Sexual Consent, hoping that the verdict sends a clear message that drunk means no, passed out means no. Turn her claimed the young woman was conscious when they met at a frat Party Last Year and consented to sex. Residents got a look at the plan during a meeting last night. San jose city housing and planning Officials Say the proposed housing on six acres of land in willow glen would consist of about 18 prefab units that could house 100 homeless. Potential residents would be subject to background checks. It doesnt make a difference in what state you are in this country; anytime you propose Something Like this, there are concerns. The meeting was the first of three before the issue goes before the city council. The city hopes to break ground by fall and finish the project by the spring or summer of 2017. Meanwhile, san jose mayor sam liccardo is working on a plan to help Homeless Veterans. The goal is for each of san joses 250 churches, mosques and synagogues to find housing for homeless vets with a housing voucher. Its been an easy ride only about 13 minutes to make that trek between 880 and 101. New developments on the car theft suspect allegedly beaten by deputies last fall. In november, Stanislaus Petrov was seen on video being hit repeatedly by Alameda County deputies in a San Francisco alley. This happened after a chase across the bay bridge. Now we have learned in just the past three weeks petrov has had at least three encounters with San Francisco police. On march 13, officers pulled him over in the tenderloin for driving a car without a rear license plate. When officers walked up to his window they say he sped away. They say they didnt chase him because it was raining. The incident is listed as evading a police officer, the same type of event that preceded the november beating. And the next day he was pulled over again in that same bmw for speeding near at t park, cited for speeding and driving with a suspended license. But he was not arrested even though he had at least three outstanding warrants in Santa Clara County. Then on march 20th, an officer pulled over petrov on bayshore boulevard for driving a gray chevy at night with no lights on. Officers cited him for that and again driving with a suspended license. A Police Report says the officer identified petrov because he was still wearing his jail identification on his wrist. Petrov remains free despite all those incidents and the outstanding warrants. Cameras have not been allowed in the courtroom during the trial. But it was an emotional moment when the verdict was read. Brock turner guilty on all counts including assault with intend to commit rape of an intoxicated person. Turners mother cried and stomped her foot during the announcements of the verdict. The trial took eight days, deliberations two days. The former star swimmer left the courtroom with no comment. It happened last year behind a frat house when turner claimed the woman was conscious as they left the apparent and consented to sex.
