Fairfield police and fire personnel went to her house on the 100 block of jefferson in fairfield 1400 block of jefferson in fairfield yesterday morning when they found the little boy around 11 00. Officers and fire personnel found a 4yearold little boy who was unconscious, not breathing. They began resuscitation efforts. The 4yearold was taken to a nearby trauma with where he died. Reporter raineshewes is being held without bail at the Solano County jail. A 6yearold and 1yearold were also in her care yesterday but they are okay. So as this investigation continues, police are still trying to determine motive. Jackie ward, kpix 5. San jose police are investigating a stabbing that wounded a man and woman on the citys east side. It happened just after 6 00 yesterday afternoon at a carls junior restaurant. Investigators say they were attacked by several men who fled the scene in a car. So far, no descriptions and no word of arrests. The victims were critically injured. They were rushed to a nearby hospital. A woman wanted in fairfield for abusing a dog had been arrested earlier. A video that went viral shows the woman rushing toward her boyfriend on december 19th and throwing a black pug on to the pavement. Animal control got lots of tips and determined that the woman is brandi chin. Now it turns out police had arrested chin earlier the same day for assaulting another person and then released her. She is looking at animal cruelty charges. We want to remove it from her. No one appears to have been at chins home for a while. Authorities are concerned the black pug may need medical attention. They are trying to find chin or get her to turn herself in. A pregnant 900pound seal is back in the ocean after a twoday standoff in a Sonoma County lagoon. Rescuers tried to lure it back to the open water for hours. But she just wouldnt go. Event ofly they had to tranquilize her and transport her on a flatbed truck. The secretary of state says this was not posted by the state and he is working with attorney general Kamala Harris to verify these claims. Rules on protecting voter data is different from state to state but in california, state law prohibits the Public Disclosure of voter information with few exceptions. The fire broke out on north 3rd street just after 2 30. Downed electrical wires made it difficult for firefighters to get close and so for the most part those let the house burn. Neighbors were evacuated because of live wires. The house was destroyed. Crews are searching for victims. Police are investigating a stabbing that critically injured a man and a woman in east san jose. It happened just after 6 00 yesterday evening at a carls junior restaurant on south white road. Investigators say the two victims were attacked by several men who then took off in a car. So far no descriptions or word of any arrests. A confrontation between a man and Palo Alto Police lasted only 19 seconds before officers opened fire. Investigators say 31yearold william raff made a 911 call christmas night saying someone inside a palo alto treatment home was, quote, really violent. But police say when they arrived at the momentum for Mental Health facility, the only violent person was raff. The suspect came out of the shadows not in the house. The suspect was in the front yard in the area in the dark. Police say raff had a knife and charged at the officers prompting two officers to open fire. Raff later died at the hospital. The Santa Clara CountyDistrict Attorneys Office is investigating the shooting along with Palo Alto Police. The fate of chinatown leader Raymond Shrimp Boy Chow could be in the hands of a jury early next week after two months of trial. The defense rested its case yesterday. Some homes in san joses evergreen neighborhood were evacuated after a dangerous delivery to the fire station. A man brought in some old blasting caps and some black powder. It happened yesterday at the station near the villages retirement community. The Fire Department says the man who brought in that potentially explosive material thought that he was doing the right thing. They were cleaning out an old storage unit found this product and were like, that doesnt look safe and brought it i think appropriately to the fire station. We would ask people in the future to not transport that material, to basically call us to the scene, that we could evaluate it there. The bomb squad and hazmat was there for an hour before giving an allclear to the fire station and surrounding homes. People in watsonville and santa cruz raised 10,000 to give a woman a wonderful holiday gift. She has a robotic arm now on her wheelchair to give her new found freedom. It started with a 911 call about a drowning. Kpix 5s jackie ward reports.
