Pg e crews spent yesterday going door to door to conduct tests and also check out the equipment on the outsides of the homes while this gas service is out for a while. They worked through the flight to help get it back up and running as soon as possible in Discovery Bay and parts of byron. An issue at a gas facility is to blame. Pg e believes the cold weather is what caused the problem but they are still investigating. We need to repressurize the system and then turn on the gas service. Its always we ask them to keep safety on top of mind. Reporter last night, people were able to go to one of two Warming Centers at the red cross that pg e set up. The one here at timber point or the one at Discovery Bay community center. Pg e is hoping to get everyone back up and running by the end of the night. In the meantime, you are told not to turn your gas back on. Even when the service is brought back up, pg e will come to your house and turn it back on for you. A woman who said shes the roommate of the suspects boyfriend said shear was a heated argument between the couple. An emergency landed on a southwest jet at oakland. The flight was found for denver. Southwest says the plane landed safely and all passengers and crew are fine. The driver an suv is expected to be cited for a crash with a tour bus in San Francisco. The accident happened saturday night near the Ferry Building along the embarcadero. Eight people suffered minor injuries. Police say the suv driver caused the crash by making an improper lane change. Kate is live in oakland. Joins us with the very latest on what happened this morning. Kate . Reporter frank, its tragedy overnight here in this oakland neighborhood. Firefighters tell us the two victims were a man and a woman. Heres what we know the fire started around 1 00 in a multiplex on east lawn and 63rd avenue. The apartment was completely engulfed in flames and destroyed. It took fire crews about an hour to get it out. They believe the two people died lived in the apartment where the fire started. Were going to team up with Alameda County coroner and opd, get the fire victims removed and well investigate the cause and origin of the fire with our investigator. Reporter there are about four units in the complex. The good news is that the fire did not spread to any other units. However, firefighters say this complex does have a history of fires.
