Excessive heat warning goes into effect on saturday for all inland parts of of the bay area. This is where the heat is going to be the greatest. This is well are where where temperatures will top out over 100 degrees, some spots approaching 110 degrees. Around the bay, the excessive heat watch has been upgraded to a heat advisory, it is one category lower than excessive heat warning. 90s on the penins, the peninsula, down th d of the bay as well. Limit your time outside, make sure you you stay hydrated. Spots not included in these advisories and and warnings, San Francisco, and and the immediate shoreline. We wont completely lose that onshore influence. But the heat risk goes from moderate for most most of the bay to high pretty much across the board, inland, on sunday. I think we will remain below record high high temperatures, the real heat heat will be with us on sunday, 106, to 109 to livermore, but san jose will be close to a record, and the hottest days going to be labor day. We will be away from record territory in in San Francisco, but awfully close in san jose. We could break a record in santa rosa, concord and livermore with those those temperatures approaching 110 degrees. In terms of the specific threats, its important important to know the difference difference between heat exhaustion and heat stroke. And you need to know these terms and and terms of what your head andh and stomach and skin feel like, how your pulse behaves, because heat exhaustion means you need to get inside in the air conditioning and stay hydrated, even take a cool shower. Heatstroke means its time to call 911 and get to the emgeom. Contend with the air quality, which was better today, just enough of a stir to the atmosphere to allow good air quality for most of the bay area. However, i do think another wave of surface level smoke will be trying to drift in in tomorrow. Its not going to be terribly concentrated, but enough to likely send us back into the moderate category for air quality across the entire bay area on friday, and even if the smoke things out over the weekend, the heat dome will be trapping ground level position ozone pollution, causing airquality issues of the weekend.
