Civilians fled their homes. 15,000 members of a religious sect are on a mountain surrounded by militants threatening to kill them if they dont convert to islam. They are also advancing on a city where american diplomats are based. They are just 25 miles from a city where 150 military advisers anne makovec unknown number of diplomats have been operating in a city once thought safe. We intend to stay vigilant. Reporter the president was quick to clarify he is not sending american soldiers and marines back on the ground. American combat troops will not be returning tonight in iraq. Because there is no American Military solution to the larger crisis in iraq.
