Reporter and despite Police Agencies using a lot of time and effort on this man hunt and the daley city neighborhood losing much of their standard because of it, the man hunt came up without the man police were hunting. Late tonight, place towed away the car they chased away to this daley city neighborhood. Families were finally allowed back into their homes around 8 45 this evening. The man hunt came up empty. At this point, the scene is being broken down. The suspect we are looking for is not here. How do you decide he is not here . We had as i said, the investigation unfolded, we had reason to believe he had prior contacts in the area. There were certain residences that we had made contact and he had gotten the residences. Reporter police were asking residents to be cautious and patient and call 911 if they heard unfamiliar noises around the homes. But the long wait to get home was beginning to wear on family. It is affecting me big time. I have my two kids and they are notletting me. I have a twoyearold, i have a sevenyearold. Where are they . In the vehicle over there. Reporter as dozens of Police Officers moved through the neighborhood, tensions ran high. From is a wooded area. They could be everywhere around the freeway. Reporter the police were doing the right thing. A little nerve wracking that there is a gunman. Been out here a couple of hours already.
