This is kpix5 news. A 7yearold girl snatched right in front of her home. Tonight we track down the fast thinking target employee who led police to her kidnapper. Thats not the only Big Development in this case. Reporter im at the target store in pittsburg and spoke to a 22yearold security specialist. Her job is to keep people from shoplifting. Friday morning she saw a man inside the store and his behavior was just odd. He was just being weird like his activities were not normal. Reporter she didnt know it at the time, but Roxanna Ramirez spotted a man who would end up kidnapping a 7yearold girl later that night. She wrote down his license plate as his behavior got even more bizarre as he left the target store. He was pacing back and forth like changing his clothes in the parking lot. He started messing around with his backpack and at one point he was sitting in the car and like shaking his steering wheel. Reporter the suspect David Douglas seen in a video on his Facebook Page admits he kidnapped the girl last friday but now claims it was a cry for help. In a jailhouse interview today he told a reporter he didnt use a gun when he abducted the girl from her home, just a stick and he says he didnt sexually assault the girl. He claims he just drove her around a bit trying to calm her down, even took her to a mcdonalds, bought her some Chicken Nuggets which she refused. At the Moment Police caught him at the antioch Marina Douglas tells the newspaper he was telling the little girl that he was an angel and was awaiting further instructions from god. After the amber alert went out police now say they were able to catch douglas because roxanna called them with his license plate number. Im more happy that the girl is with her family and she gets to live the childhood that she deserves and i hope she puts this tragic thing behind her. Reporter what exactly was his motive . The driver took off and didnt stop until she had slammed into two cars. This car, i heard a long screech, went down the ditch, went back up the ditch, slammed on the hard top, ran through two of my cars and then the driver jumped out and tried to escape. Cops circled and got the driver and got the passenger. Reporter the driver and her passenger were hurt but are expected to be okay. The fbi made an arrest in the new years day arson attack on the chinese consulate in San Francisco. You can see how badly the building was damaged. Fbi says a Chinese National by the name of yan feng called police and actually confessed two days later. The suspect told authorities he was hearing voices in chinese leading him to believe that the consulate was involved. We investigated the incident as a criminal matter and there are no indications at this time to suggest it was motivated by terrorism, politics or civil rights issues. The suspect, mr. Feng, has permanent residence status and lives in daly city. He is facing two charges of maliciously damaging property.
