New at 11 00, an exuc berkeley is accused of trying to conceal a camera in a campus bathroom. Joseph barber is accused of filming thousands of women over the course of several days. He also put out of order signs on another restroom to steer more women toward his camera. A university staffer discovered the advice deviced as a bogus electrical outlet. Police in the south bay are looking for the burglars that stole a most precious possession. Two teenagers stole into her saratoga home and stole a mahogany box from this table. It contained her late husbands ashes, death certificate and several coins. The 83yearold homeowner says she will not press charges if the box is safely returned. An oakland photographer has one of her stolen cameras back tonight. But her lifes work is still missing. Someone broke into Jennifer Littles home on wednesday, stealing eight cameras and 21 hard drives. The drives have about 70,000 pictures on them spans her entire professional career. Jennifer says she found one of her cameras and four lenses at the Oakland Coliseum flea market today. But what she really wants back are those drives. An unusual protest that started on the streets of oakland rolled all the way to wine country today. They call it the wine soul train. It was actually a brightly colored bus that took people on a tour of the winery. It is in response of the incident aboard the Napa Valley Wine Train last month. These people got the book after officials said they were laughing too loudly and disturbing the other passengers. The wine train ceo later apologized to the women and offered them another trip for free. We heard about the disaster with the other black women that were asked to get off the train. And we thought that was just horrible. We are trying to send a message that, you know, if you do things like that, maybe you wont get the support needed to continue your business. Latinos an africanamericans own just a handful of the nearly 500 wineries in the region. Two weeks after the valley fire forced them out, the residents of cobb are finally going home tonight. All traffic restrictions for the area were lifted this afternoon. Cobb is where the fire first broke out on september 12. Tonight, the 76,000acre fire is almost fully contained but close to 2,000 structures have been destroyed. It was a historic day in the city of brotherly love. Reporter engleside heights is a lush San Francisco subdivision. The type of place where coyotes like to roam. I have seen the coyotes three times myself. I heard them during the night once. Like, you know, yipping around barking. It was quite disconcerting actually. In fact, just this week, at pine lake and stern grove, a coyote killed a seven pound dog. Reporter fed up, they hired mary polieri to get rid of the coyotes and today, she gave them an update on your progress. Have you been successful in diverting them . Yes, they are responding to the placards. Reporter she is talking about these placards. They look like everyday menu boards. But when mary sets them out, the placards confuse the coyotes and throw them off their usual roaming path. They will do the same thing over and over again. Until the population disperses. Reporter they appear to be working. The red dot shows sightings from weeks ago. But, check this out. The green dots are recent sightings. All clustered outside the neighborhood. That mikes me feel better. Reporter even with improvement, experts say everyone should keep expectations realistic. You will see coyotes from time to time, but not as frequently in the past. We have learned a south bay teen is being kept alive tonight so that his organs can be donated. We first told you about lucas angelo earlier this week. He was struck by a car after school on wednesday. A family spokeswoman says he was declared brain dead last night. Police say it appears that lucas ran out in front of the car that hit him. Right now, the driver is not facing any charges. In southern california, one man is under arrest in connection to a violent shooting spree that has left two people dead and two others injured. Two random shootings were reported within a mile of each other. They happened this morning in the city of banning. 20 miles west of palm springs. One of the surviving victims told police the suspect got away in a white suv. A lead that helped officers pin down the suspect. At this point, the motive remains unclear. On california pot farms, illegal workers will risk it all for fast money. But what happens when the money runs out and the boss wont quit . Allen martin with the story you will see only on 5. Reporter cal fires base here in humboldt county is in the middle of nowhere. So when workers of a nearby pot farm showed up, the chief knew something was up. Just to have somebody walk up to the base doesnt normally happen. Reporter they wanted to use the phone, but couldnt say why. The next day, one of the men staggered back bleeding and terrified. It was fernando lopez, a labor worker from guatemala. He said he had just been shot in the face by his boss on the pot farm. Turns out he was the lucky one. He survived. His coworker did not. Assistant u. S. Attorneys william francen and Kimberly Hopkins prosecuted the case. The victims boss, michael wild owned a massive pot farm and hired the men to help him work it. Things were going well. They were living in a travel trailer on one of the sites. Michael was bringing them food. They did their work. Woke up early. Watered the plants. Everything seemed to be fine. Reporter but at some point, michael ran out of money. He didnt have diesel to fuel his cars. And at that point, he took the keys away from the workers and wanted them to water the plants by hand. Reporter hauling water to more than 1500 plants on four distant sites. Well, the workers wanted out. Instead, michael took away their phones and guns. Then, lay in wait for them outside their trailer and shot them. Fernando got away. But michael tracked roberto down a steep hillside and finished him off. He came up behind him and shot him in the back of the head execution style. The pressure of trying to get the grow to the point of making money, hanging onto the property, and all of these investments, it looks like all of that culminated in him doing the one thing he thought that he could or should do which was to take out the workers. All of that is true. All of that is true. Reporter but michael wilds Attorney Says there is a back story. Just using lay terms, he snapped. Reporter he says his client felt threatened. He believed strongly, they were capable of violence. He believed strongly they had a gun. He believed strongly and i share his belief, that he saw a gun. Reporter but the jurors didnt buy it. Forensic evidence proved the workers were not harmed. The judge sentenced michael to life in prison. Back here in humboldt county, michaels 800 acres are under new ownership, but the crop remains the same. They hope this will be a warning to the hundreds of Migrant Workers coming to work on illegal marijuana grows in the emerald triangle. It is hard to find bodies out in the woods of humboldt county.
