Police arrested 43yearold Michael Duger on left and melissa lloyd. They are accused of abusing choking her, hitting her, an not feeding her. A sibling told those investigators that the girl would sometimes eat food from the floor or even from the trash. The mom currently on lifetime probation for a previous felony child abuse incident that happened in 2006. Tonight, the reward is growing for information after three salt river horses were shot. One was killed and then, even mutilated. As lauren rimer reports, down every horse in the area. Reporter in connection to the mcso investigation of the shooting of these three animals, volunteers are out here doing a head count of all known salt river horses. There are between 80 and 140 of these animals and they all travel in small family bands like this one which can make it difficult to keep track of them all. Over the weekend, a six month old foal was found shot and killed. Members were as wounded but seemed to be doing okay. It makes you sick. Reporter these animals are monitored closely by the salt river wild horsemannagement group. We are devastated. These horses are like family to us. We have seen them grow up. We record when they are born. We see them out here every day. To know he suffered that bad is just really heartbreaking for us. Reporter it is still trying to figure out if any more have been killed. In a situation like you know, we are kind of calling the troops making sure we get a total head count. Reporter witnesses say the person who shot the horses was wearing a green shirt and black shorts and was with two other people at the time. Right now, the reward for information in this case has grown to nearly 9,000. If we see someone hurt the horses we tell someone. We certainly would.
