A masked man stabbed two people in napa county killing one of them. Wanted to administer first aid but there is no place to give first aid. October, 1969, a San Francisco cab driver shot and killed. Days later a local paper received a letter from the zodiac claiming responsibility with a piece of a bloody shirt. Kenny tells i team his best friend louie meyers confessed in april, 2001 after doctors told him he was dieing. Kenny says meyers asked him to wait until after he died to tell authorities and he wanted kenny to write a book with proceeds going to victim families he died in may, 2002 and kenny spent years trying to get police to listen. I feel louie was 100 honest that day. Meyers lived in vallejo from 19651971 told kenny the reason he became a killer at age 17. Over a girl he broke up with. That is why he went to these shootings, that is what the deal was with the couples. Meyers had interesting circumstantial connections to the crimes. Went to school with the kids meyers went to both high schools and could have known the first victims and number two. Worked in a restaurant with a waitress kenny says he worked as a restaurant at terrys restaurant so did victim darlene feren. Three. I began to see a foot print a boot print found at the crime scene. His father worked at mayor ill land and would have access to this type of boot. Were told he briefly worked at a military surplus. Meyers didnt know San Francisco cab driver cab driver. He was just robbing the cab driver. He told you that . Yes. For drug money. Meyers got in trouble with Police Unrelated to the zodiac murders including disorderly conduct, theft and possession of stolen property. Louie was a good guy. This childhood friend of louies stopped hanging around with him after miers started getting arrested. He went into the army. Military records show meyers stationed in germany between yun 1971 and january, 1973. Zodiac didnt send letters during that time. After the army, meyers moved back to new york and became a trucker making runs back to the bay area. Robotel says meyers confessed in 1976. That was the time he told me he was the zodiac. He didnt believe meyers at that time and changed his mind, now. I just pushed it aside we never talked about it again. He could have been just a nut job who had delusions of being a serial killer. Well that, is possible, too. Two retired cops are skeptical a teenager could have pulled off attacks and say meyers doesnt seem to fit witness descriptions including one by a surviving victim. The picker doesnt look anything like what michael described still, the former officers believe the louie meyers tip is credible enough to pursue if they can come up with new evidence that to the crimes.
