Good evening, im dan ashley. And im ama daetz. What a series. Im almost speechless. Madison bumgarner, what he did tonight, its not supposed to be this easy. This is one of the most amazing performances of alltime. Theyve been playing baseball for well over a hundred years, ago . Madison bumgarner, on only two days rest, comes out of the bull pen and tosses five scoreless innings for the giants. They are world champions again. Now, it started with tim hudson, who only lasted an inning and twothirds. He allowed two runs in the second inning. The giants score two in the top half. Michael morse, it turns into the gamewinning run. Bumgarner in the fifth. Hes just a stud. Gave up one hit. Heading to the ninth. Strikes out eric. Juan perez boots it. Suddenly gordon almost taking it inside the park here. Rounds third. He holds up. Hes at third base. Everybody super tense. Can bumgarner finish it off against salvador perez. Everybody on the edge of their seats. He pops up to pablo sandoval, who may or may not have just played his final game as a giants, pending free agent. Bumgarner gets the final out. Puts the giants on his back with their third world series title in five years. 32 is your final score. This was a team that was left for dead in early september. And they qualified for the wild card. And they run the table all the way. And win the four games to three. This is unbelievable. Especially when you look at how this evening started for the giants. Oh, yeah. And bruce bochy, hall of fame manager. Three titles in five years. And bumgarner is a hes from another planet. Yes. Godlike figure. Other worldly. I dont even know how to its not supposed to happen. Buster posey on his knees. Is this really happening . Were going to have a parade and everything. Well talk for hours about this. Truly a magnificent moment. Great moment for the city, all of the bay area. Thanks, larry. Well, of course, it was exciting in kansas city. But exciting here as thousands of people gather to watch tonights game at Civic Center Plaza in San Francisco. Katy was there. She was there for the final out. Lots of fans with you. Reporter i do have some fans with me. If im yelling, forgive me, because ive been hearing a lot of screaming tonight. I feel like i need to outyell people out here today. I dont even know if you guys can hear me back at the instead yo anymore. Obviously, a very loud crowd out here. These are very excited fans. Yeah, really happy. It was great. So nervous. My heart was beating. This is awesome. Bumgarner great game world series reporter a lot of extreming. Theres going to be a lot of sore throats tomorrow, i can tell you that. Some of the fancy talked to earlier tried to manage their expectations. As you might expect, like now, they can all let it run free. Fun stuff. Having a great time. Thanks so much, katie. We appreciate it. We want to go over to sky 7. Steve, this is on Market Street between fourth and fifth. You can see all the people down there milling, the street is closed in this area because of all the people there. There are people spilling out of office buildings, bars, restaurants, homes, wherever they watched the game. Lets hope there are no problems. Thats what we would like to see everybody celebrate and have a good time, or not do anything silly or foolish. We hope that happens the rest of the night. This is a great moment for the entire bay area. Dont want to see anyone marred by acting foolishly. Time to celebrate. Were keeping tabs on everything going on throughout the bay area. In the intersection. Right now. Its amazing. In fact, the intersection is shut down, and people are still streaming in. Right now, it looks like more than 1,000 people. Police on motorcycles, bikes, cars, and on foot were posted out here long before the game ended. Meanwhile, the giant world series champion shirts are selling out here at the dugout store very quickly. At this point, the celebrating here has been peaceful. Of course, its still early. I know its a disappointing night for royals fans, but the people who traveled out from San Francisco must be thrilled. Reporter this is the qui quietest weve seen the fans in the stadium leaving. Theyre shouting, quietly, orderly went back to their cars. The giants took the momentum tonight. This is where the momentum mattered. We were down the left field line when the final out happened. Lets show you the tape and show you what it looked like. And this we might add is civilized, stunned, respectful applause. The giants have won their third world series in five years. And once again, they did it in the stadium of the visiting team. Theyve beaten the recent trend visiting teams losing seventh games. This one took their fans wide in 2014. The best record in baseball, for the first couple of months, to a complete and utter befuddlement to putting it together in the postseason with the playoff run beating pittsburgh in the wild card, then washington, st. Louis, now here in kansas city. Later, these fans would use the word torture, and tonight it was not an overused word. They also talked about grit. They believe last nights 100 shutout may have sealed the deal. And of course, they talked about madison bumgarner. A lot of words to describe him. We cant lose. They think that this man, and its true, what he did, as larry said, astounding. Astounding. As one kansas city fan said to me tonight, you guys have a good team, but we got beat by one guy.
