This took place while a solidarity gathering was going on in the temple. And the other side said israel needs to stop columnizing palestinian neighborhoods. We support our country, our people no matter what happens. Well do whatever we can to support our country. Were going to show everybody. They want you to think that this is being done in the name of the Jewish Community and that all jews support what israel is doing and we are saying, as forcefully as we can, that we condemn whats happening in gaza. It is against our jewish values. That is being done in our name. It is just heartbreaking to us. Across town, a large crowd gathered to oppose military acts in gaza and u. S. Support for israel. A gaza child who received a prosthetic leg here in the bay area lost that leg during this weeks violent clashes. Reporter he came here in 2006 and again this year after he lost his leg because of violence in the gaza strip. Now his prosthetic leg has been destroyed. All of the family is scared. Reporter he spoke with us on the phone. Our conversation occasionally interrupted by the sound of gunshots. [ gunfire ] reporter his house was hit by a missile. His prosthetic leg was damaged by shrapnel. He had to be carried to a shelter a quarter of a mile away. We go from my house and we go running helping translate some of the conversation abdul la is among the lucky kids because we know his name and his face but there are hundreds and thousands of children that are nameless and faceless. Reporter she and her daughter work with the Children Relief Fund which helps kids caught in the crossfire get medical treatment. We have doctors ready to go into gaza as soon as israel allows them in. We have medical supplies that are ready to send to gaza. Reporter they plan to bring him back to the United States to replace his artificial leg but right now the focus is on keeping him safe and alive and offering support. In foster city, alyssa ha harrington, abc 7. New details in the stockton bang robbery shootout. 40 officers started returning to work today. Relatives of the two who died say they believe that police reacted appropriately. The second suspect could face 33 charges, including murder counts that make him eligible for a death sentence. Investigators suspect the same men carried out other area bank heists, including one earlier this year at the same branch that was hit this week. Reporter there are an estimated 20,000 participants in aids walk San Francisco this year, and organizers dedicated their effort to the small team of european aids researchers aboard mh17 that was downed over ukraine. What a bit of irony, that people working to do such good would be lost, such a gratuitous act of violence. He was really kind. He gave us anything that we needed.
