When i was riding up to him, i didnt expect him to be alive. Reporter nick flew 50 feet in the air. He is still in the hospital today with two broken legs. Patrick walked away with just minor injuries. Are you angry . Its hard for me to say that when theres families who have to bury their loved ones right now. Or take care of patients with gunshot wounds. Reporter as for that face still haunting this community, theres one thing patrick wishes he could have done. I wish i could have talked to him before he did it. And maybe Say Something that would make it seem less worth it. Reporter patrick says he wants to recover and get back to life as normal. That sense of normalcy just beginning here. Theres a black banner hanging on the main campus gate. University officials telling us there will be counselors onhand all weekend long. Back up here, a fire broke out this afternoon in vallejo. It happened at 80 and 70. And forced the chp to close the connector ramps between the two freeways. Theres no word on what caused the fire.
