Layla in the morning news talks about the smack up in the back up, i thought we would have that. But once we made it through the bridge it wasnt a big deal. Once you got on how long did it take to get across the bridge. Once i got on the bridge, that was pretty routine, it was 15 minutes i was at my front door. So once you get on the bridge, if you can kind of make your way over to the righthand lanes as quickly as possible its very quick once you get on the bridge. It is a result of cracks, which are not uncommon, and we have situations like this that occur in various transportation projects, it is normal. We expect to patch it up and have it wrapped up by the morning commute and i want to s a matter of it is on the west standard maintenance, so its just a part of transportation and the maintenance that we have to deal with on a regular basis. I appreciate that but you are down playing it a little bit. Its not common for a hole to open up on a bridge is it. No. It is a result of cracks and over time these are the times of things that occur with regard to the major transportation projects so im not trying to down play it, it is just a matter of what commonly occurs over the course of time. We are accustomed to such things. We take care of these things on a regular basis, luke like i sa is standard maintenance, by the morning commute we expect to have it repaired and up and ready. You called it standard maintenance but it is not something you can anticipate. You have to wait until the crack opens until a hole. It is not uncommon. It is just wear and tear. It is not uncommon, like i said. So we deal with these situations by having crews go out and do investigations and based on their findings we have repairs take place. The desperate search continues for a 14yearold boy last seen off the surf of ocean beach after his cousin and father were rescued. We are live with more on this. Every once in a while i can see some lights out on the water. It is dark but rescue crews are still searching for that 14yearold boy, and in fact there are signs here at the beach that warn of the danger of these rip currents and unfortunately he and his family experienced that today. His father and cousin were rescued. Two boys were playing in the water, cousins were having a good time when all of a sudden they were overtaken by a wave and the father who didnt know how to swim went in after the boys, thankfully a surfer was near by and he came to the rescue. I go and take him on my surf board, i paddle him in and once it was shallow enough to walk i look back and see the dad bobbing up and down in the water and i asked can your dad swim, he said no, so i swam out and got the dad and dragged him in by the arm and i was really concerned because i thought he was dead out there, honestly. Now the father was brought to the beach, as you saw by that surfer telling us, and then cpr was performed. They were able to get his pulse back and he was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. It is the mans son who is still missing. A san diego family with a sick child and sail boat return to dry land. The child returned to home base on monday, today a navy frigget arrived in san diego with that family on board.
