What he is, is volunteer coordinator for cat town, an oaklandbased cat rescue group. So, no. No psychic ability for jay, yet this past weekend, jay had no trouble at all reading peoples mind. Yeah. For 24 straight hours, from noon on sunday all the way through the night, until noon on monday, jay walked, and walked and walked around lake marek. 17 laps in all. Close to 60 miles, all wearing a cat suit. And as one group of men he met along the way as part of a fraternity association. I appreciated they thought i was still 19. So that was good. The ones who raise the most money can earn thousands of bonus dollars. And cat town, thanks in part to jay, is well on its way to raising 60,000. The money will go to doubling in size its already incredibly popular storefront Adoption Center and cafe. Which is the reason why no matter how much jays feet hurt ow. We are expecting to be fairly cooler, because we have a low pressure trough sitting over the coastline and into the bay area. Thats going to keep temperatures a few degrees warmer than cooler, rather, than the warmer temps we saw yesterday. Yesterday, areas in the south bay hit the 80s. Today expecting to climb into the upper 70s, but still expecting to see 80s in Interior Valley areas. Oakland, high of 69. Up near the north bay into the upper 70s. 79 santa rosa. Napa 81. Along the coastline seeing 50s, along half moon bay, San Francisco xpexexpect a high of and morgan hill, 83 degrees. A kick check of your pollen report. Moderate pollen for trees ald a little presence of weeds, grass and mold. Thankfully allergies have gone down quite a bit from what weve seen. Tree pollen has been quite high. Winds coming up from the westsouthwest, 10 Miles Per Hour, and picking up to possibly 15, eventually maybe 20 Miles Per Hour heading into the 3 00 hour. 75 degrees inland. Cools down around dinnertime to about 68. As we head into sunday, by sunday night into monday, we are expecting to warm up more along the bay and also inland. Overcast skies yet again and then a bit windier earlier tomorrow. So 58 degrees along the bay. 68 for inland and the winds pick up from the west between 10 and 207 Miles Per Hour. By 3 00, start seeing a clearing of a lot of the clouds. 62 degrees along the bay. Inland 74 and again starts cooling and we see an increase in the cloud cover. Over the next seven days, starting a bit of a drying trend through wednesday and we have a weak system now, long ridge model showing a chance of seeing rain as early as thursday. For now, you might catch drizzle along the coastline. 64 degrees as we head into sunday. By monday, notice we have a warmup. So the cooling going on this weekend is going to quickly warm up into inland areas as well. We go from about 81 degrees in inland areas and cool down even more by tomorrow along with winds picking up. By monday, warm right back up into those 80s before we see that system come in, and thats cooling us back down into the 70s. Definitely a very enjoyable weekend ahead. The only exception is to backup federal agents in significant danger. This is a situation where the officer did not know he was being filmed, and obviously felt free to threaten people. Reporter this is the San Francisco public defender. Hes tried more than 150 jury cases since taking office in 2002. Several involved sfpd and discrimination. Could this be a oneoff statement a frustrated officer lashing out . I understand that Police Officers can be frustrated. Theyre trying to do their jobs, but its still no excuse. Reporter a police roster obtained by nbc bay area reveals badge 656 belongs to officer joshua n. Fry. He declined to comment but confirms hes been with the Department Ten years. We learned officer fry has been on camera before. Youtube videos from 2011 shows fry in a confrontation with local rapper fly benzo after unplugging a boombox playing loud music. He refused to stop reporting, the officer moved forward and tried to slap it out of benzo the hand. A jury found benzo guilty of a misdemeanor. A recent nbc segment. Reporter the supervisor representing district 6 where the incident occurred. After seeing our report request add briefing from sfpd and questioned police chief William Scott during a supervisors meeting. Im curious what has occurred after that incident. Reporter that incident is under investigation by internal affairs. We do not engage in the work of enforcement for immigration law. Its very clear, as a matter of fact, and if thats violated, disciplinary matters have been and will be taken. Reporter for a department trying to rebuild public trust, saying this incident exposes how much work remains. This is something that should be investigated. Hopefully there will be a strong edi eeade i edict saying this isnt going to be tolerated. Reporter hes still on the job as this investigation unfolds but now updating its 22yearold policy on officer enforcement of immigration laws and reminded all officers about its rules. Also in San Francisco, anger over the president action on the climate agreement spilled into the street. Sky ranger was overhead as dozens of demonstrators rallied outside the city the Federal Building on 7th street, waving flags and protest signs. Some were also active in last months People Climate march, organized to encourage lawmakers to take actions to slow global warming. Governor brown continues to not only denounce the president s decision, but to try and do something about it. The governor is in china talking with leaders there about cutting Greenhouse Gases and exploring clean energy. At home in sacramento a large group of state lawmakers want to host their own Climate Summit including representatives from mexico and canada. Governor brown supports the idea. He is also joining with the governors of washington and new york who say they want to form their own climate pact. They are inviting other states to join them. Frustrated members of the White House Press corps repeatedly asked whether President Trump still believed Climate Change is a hoax, something he said when campaigning. The head of the epa would only say this you know, i did ask the question because i said the discussions the president and i had over the last several weeks focused on one issue.
