And today at the city council meeting, the city manager will recommend expanding the emergency declaration. But the deadline to apply for lowinterest loans is this afternoon. Now, a local agency as well as profits have until today to apply for the lowinterest loans to replace up to 2 million of real estate, machinery, other business assets. Homeowners can apply for lowinterest lotes up to 200,000 to replace their buildings and up to 40,000 for personal property that was lost. According to the Small Business administration, it has approved more than 6 million in Disaster Relief to victims of this flood. The coyote creek flood. Investigators are poring over Surveillance Video of the violent robbery. As many as 60 young people hopped a turnstile saturday night and swarmed into a b. A. R. T. Train at the coliseum station, robbing seven passengers of their money and phones. Two people were punched in the face. We spoke to a son of an elderly couple who were onboard during the attack. They wouldnt talk for privacy reasons but they told their son their story. They all kind of piled up on one person and started beating her up. Had a melee there for a few minutes. There was a very noticeable increased b. A. R. T. Police presence last night at the coliseum station. B. A. R. T. Says the suspects appear to be juveniles so the Surveillance Video is not being released to the public, but it is being released to local school districts. New, a group of robbers gets away with about 24,000 worth of products from a Bay Area Apple store. This happened around closing time at a store in the village shopping center. Five young men went into the store, grabbed two computers, three ipads, and 17 iphones. A Security Guard last saw them running to the back of the mall. There was, of course, a similar robbery reported earlier this month at the apple store in walnut creek. Developing in the east bay this morning, conservative speaker ann coulter insists shes still going to speak at uc berkeley on thursday despite the school cancelling the event over safety concerns. Yes, the Berkeley College republicans are filing a lawsuit against the university over the cancellation of ann coulters visit that was set for a couple days from now saying this is a restriction on their free speech. Ann coulter was set to speak on campus on thursday, but that was canceled by University Officials citing security concerns. The university wanted to reschedule her visit to next week. This comes months after violent protests on campus before a scheduled appearance by another conservative commentator, milo yiannopoulos. For the campus, the birth place of the free speech movement, is leaving the student body with mixed opinions. We would be more than welcome for them to bring on real conservative policymakers but we feel thak theyre just bringing on people who are stirring things up on campus. That United Airlines flight back in the news this morning because we have now seen copies of reports made by the Police Officers who took the passenger after the plane, and those reports dont match what happened. The reports were made by four officers who have been placed on administrative leave by the chicago aviation authority. They say dao was, quote, swinging his arms up and down with a closed fist. The subject started flailing and fighting the officers, according to the reports. The los angeles tribune obtained the reports through a freedom of information act filed. The newspaper also discovered two of the officers faced disciplinary action before. One for failing to show up to work without notifying his supervisor seven times in ten years. Didnt show up. This continues to just get bigger. With the officers that report right after it happened does not seem to reflect what happened in the video. Wichita, kansas, is considered the most affordable. We sorted this one out. Chris chmura is here with how. Douglas case rented a car from enterprise. Initially, the company gave him a midsized car, but douglas said an agent offered to upgrade him to a fullsized car. He said he didnt think anything about the swap until he got his credit card bill which revealed a 70 upgrade fee. Douglas called enterprise and was told he agreed to it. He disputed it, so enterprise credited his account 70. Were done here, right . Wrong. Two days later enterprise again charged him 70. Enterprise then agreed to reverse the new charges but douglas says that never happened. So he asked us to step in. We contacted enterprise, and it refunded douglas his 70. They do expect thorship numbers to improve. Its just a matter of time as more people become aware of the new station and adjust their commutes. For some perspective, the b. A. R. T. Fremont station last year saw over 9,000 rider exits per week day, we spoke with warm springs riders who tell us the new station is already saving them a significant amount of time in their morning commutes. What does that do for your level of stress . Drastically reduced. Its a lot nicer station, too. More relaxing. A better commute. I can actually finish breakfast with my family in the morning. You know, and just kind of have a little bit nicer morning. Im not stressed out. I moon, now my commute, i have a routine, so i am more calm. More calm . Yeah. This morning, San Francisco police are looking for a man accused of attacking a female construction worker. She was in the middle of the street doing her job when she says the attack happened. I told him the light is green, you can go through. He told me, it was like, [ bleep ] this, [ bleep ] that. This cell phone video shows Something Like a street fight as her coworkers tell us they stepped in to defend her. Witnesses describe the man as an angry driver who exchanged words with the waum as she directed traffic at haight and steiner yesterday morning. That exchange, she says he got out of his car and attacked her. He just shoved me first. When i went down, i grabbed him by his tshirt. After that, it was just swing, swing, swing. People nearby as well as some coworkers wrestled the man to the ground. At one point, the video shows him being kicked in the head. He walked away before police arrived. Once out of the melee, the woman took a picture of the man and his car. Police are using that information to identify the suspect. The search continues this morning for suspectsed in a brazen attempted robbery in walnut creek, dressed as you see there, as construction workers. This happened last week, but we just obtained these surveillance images. Three men dressed up as construction workers who walked into the Oc Watch Company in wall nuktd. One of the suspects hangded a clipboard to the owner of the store. When the owner looked down at it, the man pepper sprayed him. The store owner and a nearby customer scared them off before they could get away with anything. Breaking news. A car chase going on in southern california. Testimony continues today for three Santa Clara County jail guards accused of the beating death of mentally ill inmate michael tyree. The county medical examiner testified yesterday about the injuries he suffered before he died in his jail cell. The coroners report listed 34 separate injuries, the worst of which were a torn liver and torn spleen. Its believed that tyree bled to death inside his cell within one of being injured. The medical examiner is expected to return to the witness stand today. Traffic alert to tell you about this morning. Highway 35 will be closed in just over an hour starting at 8 00 this morning. The highway will be closed all day between gift and black roads. Caltrans crews will be installing drainage facilities and repaving the highway. Some Council Members want a bigger environmental study before the proposal would remove mature trees and build a play area. A group that opposes the project said it be too tall. New, concerns about plans to separate caltrain tracks from roads. They are worried the vta could put restrictions on projects that could separate the tracks. Trafrk and Pedestrian Access must go over or under the tracks. City Officials Say its the first time the vta set any standards for the project which could impact planning. Arkansas continued its executions last night, putting two more men to death. The state right now on a deadline as lethal injection drugs are expiring soon. Jack jones, convicted of raping and killing a woman, was executed first. Marcel williams, another convicted murdering and rapist, had received a temporary stay. That was lifted, and those two men were executed less than two hours apart. This is significant because at no point in modern American History has any state ever attempted to carry out so many executions in such a short period of time. Eight executions total were originally planned. Four of them received stays. State of arkansas has met legal challenges to the rapid pace of executions and has been able to move forward with three of them so far. The next execution is scheduled for thursday. Happening today, Santa Clara County leaders will consider new protections from federal immigration laws and hate crimes. At todays board meeting, supervisors are expected to propose new services for immigrant families if one afftheir family gets picked up for immigration. Happening today, President Trump will be the keynote speaker at the holocaust commemoration today at the u. S. Capitol as the administration has struggled in talking about the holocaust in recent weeks. This is part of the week long days of remembrance. In memory of all the victims, six candles will be lit by a holocaust survivor accompanied by a member of congress. It also recognizes the u. S. Troops who liberated the nazi concentration camps in 1945. President trump may be backing away from a key campaign promise. A wall on the mexican border. Time is running out to get the wall in the budget. Our budget. Were going to pay for the wall, not mexico. The wall, which could cost as much as 25 billion, has become a real Sticking Point in the budget. Republicans say we dont have the money. Democrats say we dont need it. And predictions say if the wall is in the budget, it wont pass. And the government will have to shut down. There have been several hints from the white house, both in public and in private, that President Trump is willing to compromise. So this morning, he tweeted, dont let the fake media tell you where y have changed my position on the wall. Time is tight. The deadline to approve a budget or agree to a temporary fix is friday. A slight chance of rain in the forecast today. Then the high temperatures reaching the upper 60s. Were up to 68 degrees in the trivalley. 68 degrees in the north bay. And 63 degrees in San Francisco. So as we get a look out the window, we are going to have a cool start, but then it will be comfortable throughout the day. It will be a day for some long sleeves and some pants. Maybe some jeans. But just staying comfortable also as we head into the next several days. It will mean some tshirts and shorts. If youre going out to at t park this evening for the giants game, it will be nice, at least the start while youre sitting in traffic or tailgating if you get to enjoy that, we will have sunshine at 5 00. It happened last night at a store in the village shopping center. Five young men went into the store and grabbed two puters, three ipads and 17 iphones.
