Right now we dont know the extent of the injuries but we know at least 14 people are hurt. Police are not releasing many details at this point. They say they still have a lot of witnesses to interview. Right now theres no word on a suspect. At one point police thought there may have been more than one shooter but as of right now police are only looking for one person. They say theres no indication this shootding was terrorism related. Now, police are calling his death suspicious. The body was discovered around 10 00 yesterday morning at Toyon Elementary School in the East Foothills of san jose. Right now Police Officers and homicide detectives are trying to figure out what happened to the young man reportededly in his swents 20s. Police say he died on campus under a bench near classrooms. So the president contends that the new requirement, well will hamper the Automobile Industry because of additional expenses to make the necessary changes that, in turn, he argues, would reduce Auto Industry employment. Theres no proof that the higher automobile mileage rule would harm employment but thats the claim. Talk about why california is so strongly obowsed to this proposal and also what would happen here if that mileage is rolled back. This is a serious issue here. Until now, under the Clean Air Act californias been allowed to set its own emission standards stronger than those established by the federal government. Now, several other states have set their requirements to mirror the california model. The reason is clear enough. Given the topography of the state and respiratory problems that emerge. So californias become a leader in this field. Why . Because its combating Climate Change. Automakers have gone along. Theyve gone along because of the difficulties that would accrue from producing cars for california and its allies in one standard and cars for the rest of the nation under another standard.
