A Homicide Investigation still under way right now in san leandro. Kris sanchez joins us live from the scene. Kris, it all started yesterday afternoon . Reporter right. This scene has been active 16 hours ago. We are in a quiet residential neighborhood in san leandro. This is indeed a Homicide Investigation. Officers arrived on scene on reports of a fight, followed a trail of blood into a home. There they found a 41yearold man who was killed. That is according to east bay times. Sergeant ray kelly did confirm that. What i can tell you now is the investigation is continuing later on this morning. Right now we are just seeing officers here securing the scene to make sure there are no contamination of the crime scene. This is where we are. This is the neighborhood here in san leandro hills. Alameda county Sheriffs Department is handling this investigation. Investigators will be out here this morning. At this point the department has not released a suspect description. If they do that, we will make sure you hear about that. But sometimes they dont release that because they have an idea who it is theyre looking for. And there is no threat to the public. It started just before 2 00 when Santa Clara County sheriffs deputies tried to stop a driver in san jose. He took off and bailed on foot. It is not clear how far he actually made it. San Santa Clara County sheriffs deputies found him passed out. The Sheriffs Office tried to pull him over for a traffic violation. He refused. Led officers on a pursuit in east san jose. He bailed out of the car, hopped a residents fence, hid out in the backyard. Deputies called for backup. They donned helmets, body armor. At 3 00 this morning, they then found the man unconscious in front of a home on the 3,000 block of quinn by. In other words, just two houses over where he ditched his vehicle. I dont know what caused him to pass out. The man was taken into custody. He was unarm. Turned out he had warrants for his arrest. His female passenger was detained. Hes one of three people being held in connection with the shooting on i80 in richmond last week. Investigators believe 24yearold demarcus was specifically targeted on san pablo avenue. The other two suspects are teenagers. South bay Police Agencies plan on schilding up grant groups from federal immigration laws. They are in the process of enacting stricter laws against undocumented immigrants. Leaders from every Law Enforcement agency in the county are expected to attend a city forum. Sheriff Vicky Hennessey on San Franciscos sanctuary city policies. Leaders are staying the course despite white house threats to cut off first of all, funding to sanctuary cities like San Francisco.
