And humidity during the middle of the day will drop down to 14 . Very dry and breezy conditions with hot temperatures. A look at the sheer devastation that is hitting lake this morning. The socalled clayton fire tears through the town of lower lake. Homes were destroyed and firefighters are working tirelessly to save those in the fires path. Here is a look at the communities affected. The hardest hit lower lake where historic businesses have been reduced to ash as well as many homes. The community of clear lake is threatened at this hour. Last update we received said 3,000 acres are burned. Fire Officials Say thats a conservative estimate. Its unclear how many homes have been destroyed. Fire Officials Say at least ten. The number is expected to rise dramatically. 6,000 people have been forced to evacuate. So far several local strike teams are on the lines helping battle the flames. There are several strike teams from the bay area that have been deployed to help fight the clayton fire. Its an allout effort across the state. It includes these San Francisco firefighters. When the call came for help, the Fire Department rushed to respond with five engines. Leading the group is a firefighter who deployed to a similar area last year to battle the rookie fire which tore through 70,000 acres east of clear lake.
